Varicocele on left side, 22 year old male, Things that can help?

I have a varicocele on the left side. There is no pain, are there things I can do to improve it besides surgery? (foods to eat, supportive underwear, etc) and to make sure my sperm count doesn't get affected?
i had the surgery,i was the best thing i did.a couple of weeks and i was back and much better.just bite the bullet and have it.a couple of weeks of recovery and all gone.the surgery sounds much worst than it was.out patient and was home that night.  (+ info)

How soon after a varicocele embolization can you return to a normal workout regimen?

note: a varicocele embolization is an alternative to varicocele surgery.
Usually it would be better if you take off for one month from your normal workout regimen, especially if you had a surgery for varicocele.

Now, if the surgeon only removed your varicocele embolism and not surgically corrected the rest of the varicocele, then it is a lifelong condition and you must consider lessening your workout time.

Remember that people with varicocele do have problems with fertility most of the time.  (+ info)

tommorow im getting a tesicular ultrasound on my left testicle because i sustained an injury that led to bleeding. i am just wondering if it will also show if i have a varicocele or not, because i think i have one and i havent gone to see about it yet. will the doctor act on it if i do and tell me?

i was diagnosed with it since i was in 10th grade, and until now it's starting to ache a little.
it is probably fine

they will always ache a little

but i would get it checked to ensure it is not getting larger

In having a mico surgery for varicocele and i have a few questions?

1. How bad will the scar be? (Are there any pictures?)
2. How can i minimize the scar (ointments after surgery, pills, anything)
3. When can i train, run and lift heavy weights?
Really you should ask this from your surgeon.
1. I think you will have 'micro' (you have written mico) surgery, so the scar should be very small.
2. Some cortisone containing ointment like betnovate, applied sometime after the healing, can help.
3. Again, it will be surgeons opinion. I would think six weeks as by then the tissues should be strong enough.

It can be located anywhere on the testicle. Look up the symptoms on any reputable medical site, it will tell you.
