Is pain felt in kidneys when renal insufficiency develops?

I kinda have been feeling very mild pain in my kidney areas (on both sides of my spine at the lower back level) for the last several moths. I researched renal diseases on the internet, and kidney pain is not really mentioned as a symptom. Can something be wrong with my kidneys? The pain is very mild and it doesn't interfere with my daily activities; I forget about it most of the time. I know you will tell me go see a doctor, but I would appreciate if medical professionals or people with kidney disease could give me some insight here.
I don't have blood in my urine.
The pain that you refer is more likely due to low back pain. Usually renal insufficiency is a severe disease that can be easily rule out with some basic blood test done by your physician.
The only disease related to the kidneys that your sort of pain might reflect could be a urinary infection, that gives other symptoms as well.
In case that you are thinking about an specifically disease that you observed within your family, then just go to your doctor and explain your doubts. A few urinary and blood test are going to ease your mind faster than trying to fish information on Internet.
From the information you give, the frequency that happens and the long term mild pain, it is more reasonable to think in low back pain, due mostly to muscular causes, bad position or simply stress.
The best you can do is to rule out a severe disease if you are already doubting, at least is what I would do if I were in your place.  (+ info)

What do 'mild mitral regurgitation' and 'trivial pulmonic insufficiency' mean?

I had an Echocardiogram done, and apparently I have these two abnormalities. My doctor says I'm fine, so I assume these are not of concern. But what do they mean?
mild mitral regurgitation is when your mitral valve in your heart does not close all the way and allows blood to back flow in your heart and trivial pulmonic insufficiency is actually something that is present on most people and is similar to mitral regurgitation where the blood moving from you right ventrical to your pulmonary arteries can flow back a little since the valve doesn't shut tightly enough.

Blood flows into the right atria to the right ventricle then into the pulmonary arteries where it continues to the lungs to pick up oxygen then goes back to the heart in through the left atria to the left ventricle then our the aorta to carry the oxygen you just picked up to the rest of your body. In your situation the blood isn't flowing as efficiently as it possible could which may leave you feeling a little tired and weak but in general, if its only mild, then its nothing to worry about like you doctor said.  (+ info)

I have a medical condition called venus insufficiency where the valves in the veins do not work?

this causes edema (swelling) also the lower legs become stained reddish brown caused by blood leaking into the skin
Is there anything that can remove these stains or at least reduce them other than make up, some non surgical way. I do use comprssion stockings but that only helps to redudce the swelling and does nothing to clear up the staining

sundown- what you have, by another name, is varicose veins - an extremely common condition as people get older, especially if they are overweight, sit a lot, or have given birth to children. When the blood (red cells) leaks from the vein into the skin, they stay there, break up, and release their hemoglobin reddish-brown pigment which can perhaps lighten with time or remain for months, years, or life. You can find much more information if you search on Google for "Varicose Vein Fact Sheet." Your best bet would be to ask your physician or look in the phone book under vascular for a nearby vascular (venous) treatment center or call your local hospital or county medical society for the names of any physicians who specialize in treatment of varicose veins. What, if anything, can I do about venous insufficiency in both legs?

I already keep elevated and take 60 mg lasix daily. Cannot wear support hose because of blistering and excessive heat generated causing even more redness and soreness. I can't hardly stand the burnng and pain in the bottom of my feet. Please help!!! May be caused by infusion pump/medication. We are cuting back on morphine and using oral meds. I found infusion pump problem on net and hope I can find solution/help same way.

I have a nine year old son. Two years ago at an eye exam in Rochester, NY., the Doctor told me my son had nearly perfect vision but that his eyes did not converge properly. That there was treatment but it was very expensive , not covered by insurance and most likely it would correct itself over time. My son also has a mild to moderate sensorineural hearing loss in his left ear. He has a full scale IQ of 116 WJA III broad reading 69, broad written 75 and broad math 97. He is eager to learn through disscussion but struggles with independant learning. He is in a special education class and has shown some improvement. However I feel we are not adressing what is causing his delays. Dear Abby had an article on CID and I noticed many similarities. He gets sleepy when he reads, and he seems to jump around the page a lot, among other things. If you are aware of any testing or treatment options around Osceola County,Fl., PLEASE fill me in. Renal impairment is the inability of the kidney to do its job, this is manifested by many things including increase in some substances that the kidney does not get rid of because it can't. Some of these substances can be and are estimated in blood to evaluate the degree of renal failure.
