How can you determine where weight weight gain goes first?

I am trying to gain weight in the bust area as I'm flat chested but I really don't need to gain weight anywhere else ): My stomach and thighs are of reasonable size so I want to try and gain weight more evenly around the chest.
So how can you determine where weight is distributed most and where you gain weight first??

Please help!
----------

I don't think you can. If we could, there wouldn't be so many B cups with muffin tops. hahhahhahh! I'm sure it is on a lot of peoples' wish lists.

What I bet will help you though, is some target toning, body sculpting type exercises. Plus your breast size isn't just about the soft squishy part, it is about the muscle tone underneath. That is what makes your breasts shapely and perky. So don't be afraid to build that muscle tone, you are not necessarily making them smaller, less fatty, or less squishy.  (+ info)

I gained weight on Zoloft. If I switch to another antidepressant will the weight gain likely go away?

I've gained 30 lbs since starting Zoloft. It works really well for me, but the weight gain is upsetting. Has anyone who gained weight from an antidepressant lost weight after switching?

As a side note, I do not want to try Wellbutrin because it isn't supposed to be good for anxiety.

why dont you workout and exercise.I have anxiety and it really works for you you know.Exercising is fun :) you should try it.Even walking around the block is like an exercise.Good Luck  (+ info)

How to gain weight without fear of getting diabetes?

I am underweight and wish to gain adequate mass. But the most common suggestion is to increase calorie intake. Question is how increased calories cannot cause diabetes or does it? We all know that taking more calories than what is needed by the body can cause diabetes in the long run. Please let me know how I can gain weight without the risk of progressing to diabetes.
----------

Diabetes, Will only occur if the body consumes far too much carbohydrates and high sugar foods, that the Insulin becomes immune to the glucose or sugar meaning it wont work and convert the glucose into energy this happens when for long periods of time high sugar foods are consumed and not a short term issue.
I suspect it is the Media that has raised this concern with you, if you are "underweight" im sure this will not be a concern to you as long as you plan to put on weight with a varied yet healthy diet and do not binge out on individual food groups.

Also check with a doctor or GP for the best way to put on weight.

Good Luck :)  (+ info)

How can I gain weight and muscle without using Whey protein?

Now most people know that Whey Protein can help gain easy muscle and weight hence the creatine promoting weight and muscle gain. However, Whey protein is expensive, and so are the other protein powders/bars on the retail market. What are ways I can gain weight (healthy weight, not fat; I have a healthy diet) and muscle (I work out regularly) without using Whey protein?
----------

The biggest factor when you're trying to gain weight is how many calories you take in over the course of the day, not just necessarily how much protein you're taking in.

You want to have enough protein to support muscle growth (good starting point is .7 - .9 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight per day), but more importantly you gotta eat more. At least 500 more calories than you expend every day, and it's best to make sure this comes from good, healthy food sources if you want to minimize fat gain.  (+ info)

How much weight per week should you gain when working toward a healthier weight?

I am almost done gaining the weight back from my eating disorder. I still need to gain around 7 pounds to get my periods back. How much more calories should I eat weekly? How many pounds (or fractions of a pound) should I look for?
----------

Melting calories was much easier for me when I began using acai berry. I know they say that pills do not work, however they sure worked for me, and they have been shown on CBS News too. There is a free trial on currently at http://pitars.easyweightloss2u.info , try it out, what have you got to lose?  (+ info)

How come I gain so much weight after one day of not eating right or exercising?

I exercise Mon-Thurs about two hours a day. And I eat healthy. But how come when I have one day of not eating right, like eating an extra meal, eating at night, drinking alcohol, I gain so much weight? About 4lbs. I try so hard during the week to stay fit but when I have one bad day of not eating right I gain back the weight that usually takes me a whole week to lose.
----------

It is probable that your meals are in your stomach when you weigh yourself. By the end of the week they are likely out. Those fluctuations aren't huge issues to stress over! You are probably just fine!

But I know what you mean :)  (+ info)

How high is the risk of weight gain whilst on the depo provera?

I have been on the depo provera for nearly 5 years and I haven't noticed any unusual weight gain... Should I expect to gain weight if I stay on it? What about if I go off the depo? Will I gain weight then? Also, I haven't had a period for this time. Is this going to do any long-term damage to my reproductive system?
----------

I was on the depo for a few years and didn't have a period, when I got off it my periods came back. I gained a lot of weight on it though, like 25 pounds. I went from 120 to 145 and then kept gaining weight on it so I got off it. When I got off it I was able to lose the weight with a lot of exercise. It causes bone marrowing too, its not good for your health in the long run, and their is no physical need to have a period but it's good to have one because it cleans your system out. I like having mine and for some people it's a sign of reassurance. I'd get off it and use the female condom or regular condom. It's safer.  (+ info)

How to gain muscle without losing weight?

I'm thin for my age. I would like to gain arm muscles and leg muscles and stomach muscles. Not like brolic looking but just a little more fuller. I look healthy but I'm trying to gain weight. I just need ideas on what to do to gain muscle without losing weight? Any tips on gaining weight too? I also have a peanut allergy. Thank you so much!
----------

I would make sure you are eating high protein, with healthy fats (avacado etc) and lots of complex carbs (brown rice, sweet potatoes etc.) and when you workout do less reps with more weight..if you are doing a ton of cardio you will prob drop weight so just limit cardio to like 15 min sessions and focus on weight training exercises...bike, free weights, abs, etc Hope this helps...  (+ info)

How do I gain muscle without gaining weight?

I am 19, 5'7, 119 pounds and a girl. I am trying to gain muscle, but not gain any weight. Getting rid of some fat would be a plus too. My current gym routine involves an hour on the elliptical, 10 minutes speed walking on the treadmill, 40 minutes of weight lifting and body sculpting exercises, 10 minutes of stretching. I typically eat about 900 to 1400 calories a day. Am I on the right track to gain muscle without gaining weight?
----------

If you are wanting to gain muscle you are going to gain weight! You cannot gain muscle and lose weight I think what you mean is you want to tone up which effectively is burning fat to reveal the muscles, remember a persons weight and a persons body fat % are two totally different things girls who are skinny are light because they have very little muscle, muscle is dense and is alot heavier than fat, where as a toned figure would still carry abit of weight due to the muscles but still be a healthier body and not to mention more attractive. Weight should never be the issue when judging a healthy body its more about your body fat percentage.  (+ info)
