After many doctor appointed i finally realize i might have nasal polyps or a very sinus infection where fluid or mucus are trap.I can feel my nasal are swallow up and it is bleeding also.Blood is not gushing our or anything but there are blood and sometimes my nose will bleed. Is there a way to stop the infection so it doesnt lead to surgery. What medicine product can i used to kill bacteria and stop the swallow.I use oasis sinus spray will that help???
----------

Has this been officially diagnosed, or are you just jumping to conclusions? If you have nasal polyps it's likely that you will need surgery to remove them if they are severe. Surgery is the only way to get rid of them, I'm afriad - they won't go on their own.

If they are not very severe, your GP may prescribe a nasal spray such as Beconase Aqueous Spray.

This really is something you should be discussing with your Doctor though.  (+ info)

When polyps are removed from the colon are they checked to be cancerous immediately?

Do they test the polyp right there or is it sent out to a lab?
----------

They are checked right there in the room if that is what you mean. If you’re in a hospital they are sent to pathology if you are in a stand alone center they are sent to an outside lab.  (+ info)

How did I get polyps in BOTH ears behind eardrums that keep me from hearing well?

I've had surgery to remove polyps in rightear recently-too soon to know if the hearing is OK again.Would rather not have surgery in Left ear. How would anti-fungal/steroid/white vinegar drops from the outer ear get inside inner to get rid of them?
----------

Ear polyps are a fairly uncommon occurrence but can cause severe damage to the tympanic membrane (eardrum) if not properly diagnosed or treated. Ear polyps can occur in all ages. They affect both sexes equally. The exact cause of ear polyps is not known, however some theories suggest that they result from a reaction to inflammation, possibly caused by bacteria, fungi, or calicivirus. Another possibility is that they originate from some remnants of brachial arches that are present in early fetal development.
Through absorbsion the ointment will get through your inner ear, since polyps grow on the soft membrane, and the drug will permeate throught it.  (+ info)

I had an external polyp removed two weeks ago.The first three days were hell but a least I know I don't have colon cancer ! They can cause colon cancer if not taken care of ! !

Rectal bleeding can be a sign of polyps.
Not enough fiber in your diet, being constipated, standing or sitting too much can cause then too.

GO SEE A DOCTOR PLEASE ! ! ! ! !  (+ info)

I have allergies to peanuts and various plants for which i receive allergy shots. I had surgery early last year to remove polyps out of my right nasal passage, but now they have returned recently blocking my left nasal passage. Anyone hear of polyps on the gall bladder?

My mom found out yesterday that she has polyps on her gall bladder. We've heard of them on the colon & such, but not on the gall bladder. What do they do to treat this? She also has melanoma (all problem areas have been removed). Could this be a connection with that? She has some pain associated with them, and she even had an attack of sorts a few months ago. Any advice would be appreciated.
----------

First, there is no correlation between a melanoma and gallbladder polyps.

Gallbladder polyps are little growths that stick out from the lining of the gallbladder. They are almost always benign...especially if they are small. However, the doctor will have them checked via ultrasound on a regular basis. No treatment is necessary.

For larger polyps, polyps cause pain or if your mom also has gallstones, the doctor will probably recommend that your mom have her gallbladder removed.

If your mom had "an attack of sorts a few months ago", it is totally possible that she might have gallstones. I am sure her doctor will check out that possibility, if he hasn't already.  (+ info)

what is the difference between cervical cysts and cervical polyps please?

Do you need the same treatment?
Anybody had either and what was the removal like? Is it the same removal for Cysts and polyps?
----------

Well, I took a medical class in high school. They are not the same thing. Cysts are "tumors" blocking the cervix, and polyps are bumps on/near the cervix. The removal for each is very different. Ask your doctor. They can tell you more.  (+ info)

Now let me ask you. If there were no polyps found or one was found to be benign, Would I be free of cancer?

I'm having my first colonoscopy and if one polyp is found to be benign and removed OR no polyps are found then I don't ever have to have that test for the rest of my life. Right? Because really. I don't intend to have it done for the rest of my life. So there!
----------

Frank, I've been having that test for many years. this year, 2 polyps were found, both benign, that doesn't mean I will never have colon cancer. That means I caught the potential for it before it got me. I'm at risk just like any one else. Don't think you will never have to need another colonoscopy just because no polyps may be found or if they do find one still doesn't mean you will never need this again. Oh yes, every year. Sorry, If you want to remain cancer free. you must endure the same embarrassment the rest of us do...so there  (+ info)
