How long can you keep brown tartar on your teeth for?

I have my next dental appointment in 2 weeks, and I have this brown tartar on two of my bottom left teeth for about 6-8 weeks. I noticed a small brown stain, so I didn't pay attention to it. Now it has gotten harder(I believe it's called calculus). Is my teeth in extreme trouble, or can I afford to wait till the dentist can see me?
You can wait.
Just brush and floss as good as you can, and during your next visit talk to the dentist about it.
Calculus is removed by scraping it of or using an ultrasonic instrument that vibrates very fast so it doesn't feel like scraping.

I ended up with a D in physics. How bad is it when applying to dental school?

I ended up with a D in physics in my freshman year in a university. My other grades are just fine like I have A- in chem 1 and B+ in Chem 2, B+ in Calculus 3 and i AP'ed out of my Biology and Calculus 1 and 2. Do I still have a shot for dental school?. How hard are classes going to get for Biology Major?
Unless you have a VERY good explanation for the "D", you're toast. Most schools don't like to see any "AP'ed" grades either. You can try and repeat the Physics, but otherwise a "D" without a really good explanation is the "kiss of Death".
Classes will only get harder and build on the knowledge you should have gotten in the lower level courses.

Depends on how much tartar you have and what kind of cleaning you need :

1. A regular cleaning will cost you anywhere from $75 - $120

2. If you need deep cleaning / scaling and root planing, then the dentist will divide your mouth up into 4 quadrants.

Each quadrant cleaning will cost between $175 - $225.

You are aware that it is very advisable and okay to ask your doctor these things, right? Once he diagnosed you him or his nurse should have explained all of this to you and it is okay for you to call them and ask about it. Is it safe to use dental floss on my dogs teeth?

A few of my dogs have such ingrained calculus between their teeth, I can't remove it with brushing.
Calculus is hard like cement and cannot be flossed away. The best option is to have the dogs teeth cleaned by a veternarian as they will get gum and bone disease just like humans do. Once the buildup is removed you can then brush and floss them....

It's mostly the fact that smoking dries your mouth and then the saliva that would help rinse your teeth isn't there to do its job. Yeah, I know that calculus is formed from minerals found in the saliva, so you might ask why smoking doesn't reduce calculus if it reduces saliva, but it just doesn't.

The radiologists impression was as follows: 1. Punctate nonobstructing calculus seen in the lower pole of the left kidney; no hydronephrosis seen on either side. 2. Top normal liver and spleen which could be constitutional although this finding is nonspecific. 3. Small nodularity, left adrenal gland, is most likely a benign adenoma.
Your scan results mean the following:
1. You have a kidney stone on the left, but it is still in your kidney and not currently causing you any problems. Stones don't cause pain unless they are in your ureter (the tube that connects your kidney and bladder). You dont have hydronephrosis, which is when the urine collection system of the kidney becomes distended like a balloon causing pain.
2. Your liver and spleen size is at the higher end of the normal range. This shouldn't be anything for you to worry about.
3. There is a tiny nodule on your left adrenal gland (the gland that sits on top of your kidney and makes several normal hormones). They reported it is likely an adenoma, which is a benign (not cancer) growth, which is very common. Unless you were having symptoms of abnormally high blood pressure or other problems with various laboratory values, there is nothing that needs to be done for a small simple adenoma.  (+ info)

dipping sauce:
in a sauce pan simmer tomato ketsup, pineapple juice, sugar, salt... add cornstarch slurry... simmer until thick...

Why do I froth at the mouth whenever the number 7 is mentioned?

This has been happening to me for the past 3 years and I'm ever so slightly worried. I have been kicked out of Calculus due to this problem. I'm not sure if it's a nervous twitch or if I'm just aroused by this number. Please help me, my grades depend on it.
