Will drinking lots of cranberry juice dissolve a kidney stone?

I have a 2mm Kidney stone, probably calcium. Someone told me cranberry juice will be good for the calculus. What say ye?
My doctor told me to drink lots of cranberry juice but he did not say why.
----------

No(cranberry juice). Try to avoid, dark green vegatables, wheat, rhubarb, nuts, cranberries , chocolate, beans, coffe, overeating, tea, carbonated drinks, grapefruit, Vitamin D, acidic foods.

I would also suggest you to drink 2 glasses of water everyday.

And try to eat Celery, and i heard chewing on raw holy basil is good for trying to eliminate kidney stones.

I was doing some research on kidney stones 7 days ago i hope i helped.  (+ info)

Would you hire a 15 year old to tutor your child if they were really smart and trustworthy?

I want to start my own tutoring business. I make straight A's and im only 15, taking Calculus. So I wanted to tutor younger children in math to make some extra cash. Would you hire me?
----------

If I needed one I would...for a child between the age of 6-11. I think that a child might actually be more comfortable around you since you are younger. But like pdooma said only in a public place. Good luck sounds like a good idea to me.  (+ info)

what is the most efficient way to masturbate, maximizing pleasure and minimize pain and rub burns?

I prefer a method used to the maximization determination to use a basic calculus first or second order differential equation in discovering the maximum point of the efficiency function.

Please do not report this assuming I am being sick or perverted, I am serious and truly having problems in this area and would like a mathematical explanation along with quantifiable variables that can be changed around tested and played with to discover this max point of pleasure

What can be done to keep kidney stones coming back?

Is there some kind of dietary or fluid supplements to reduce or prevent calcium build up into calculus in kidneys. It is full on agonising, even immobilising and returns from time to time. I've had surgery once 10 yrs ago. Why always the one side and not the other and grumblin around again recently. Is there eventually a risk of failure or losing the weaker kidney ?
Sorry.I mean FROM coming back. Seems i'm already doin something to keep them returning !
----------

Firstly, kidney stones can come from different sources. My partner has had them and they have been calcium based. When your kidney stone passes you need to give it to the doctor for analysis. You can then adjust your diet accordingly. My partner has to avoid too much calcium for instance. So no excessive cheese eating. Drinking lots of water every day is essential also. A kidney stone can form in as little as a couple of hours. Rhubarb is particularly a no-no for certain people. Whenever my partner starts having the warning pains of a stone forming, he takes homeopathic granules for it. There are different granules specifically suited to the kidney on the left or right hand side of the body. Since he has used them when necessary, he has made no more stones. Maybe you should talk to a homeopath. Operations are not always necessary, as you can have a kidney stone zapped by laser treatment nowadays.
Living with a tendancy to kidney stones is perfectly manageable. don't suffer in silence, good luck.  (+ info)

How does dental deep cleansing work?

to treat calculus or something similar, where plaque has built up underneath the gums?
and does it hurt a lot? How much does it cost to have done?
----------

In a series of four appointments (2 if you don't mind having half your mouth being numb for a couple of hours) they anesthetize one quarter of your mouth. Then with special instruments they go underneath your gums to scrape away the build up of plaque. This stops the gums from receding and even reverses this. If the dentist says that you need it, it means that your gum disease has progressed to the point where the gums will stop holding your teeth, and your teeth will start to fall out.  (+ info)

Is it possible to have scaling done on a patient with braces? I dont have tarter Calculus but its not black.?

My dentist told me that I had to do it to avoid tooth loss on the bottom teeth. He said that cleaning was not enough because it would not get rid of the tarter. But I had it done before about 4 years ago when I had black tarter. He is also new in my dentist office so I am wondering if they are just doing it to get extra money b/c of the economy.

Also I am wearing metal braces so I unsure how they will get it done with my braces on.
Sorry I keep on adding details but I dont know how to remove the other ones. The details are that I have braces on so I am unsure if they will have to remove them to have the scaling done. They are metal braces and not invisilign.
----------

I doubt your dentist is just trying to make money, some people have their teeth scaled and polished every 3 months, so if the last time you had your done was 4 years ago your doing well!

If you have braces on it may be more likely that you will require a scale as it is more difficult to clean with braces. Calculus or Tartar as it used to be called is "calcified plaque" ie soft plaque that has not been remove and the calcium in the saliva has made it hard, once this calculus is formed you will not be able to remove with your tooth brush. This is why the dentist or hygienist needs to remove it.

The most common place for calculus to form is behind lower front teeth this is due to a large saliva duct sitting behind there on the floor of the mouth, the other common places are beside upper back molars, again as yo have saliva duct there on your cheek too.

regular scalings and good oral hygiene will prevent early tooth loss.
If the calculus builds up and is not removed then over time the gum will move away from the calculus causing receeding gums, and the bone supports around the tooth with also start to be damaged.

Gum disease is a slow progressing disease so you may not notice the effects now but 20, 30 or 40 years down the way you may develop mobility in teeth due to gum disease, if not treated these teeth eventually fall out when all bone support is lost.

Hope this answers!
Also if in doubt, ask your dentist to show and explain why you need treatment.  (+ info)

Is intake of Protein is harmful for me as I am having Calculi in my left and right kidenys?

I am having calculi in my left and right kidney 7.8mm and 4.5 mm respectively. I just want to know that if intake of Protein may harm me or not by Increasing the size of calculi as I am taking Nutrlite's Food Supplement - Protein Powder having PDCAAS [ Protein Digestability Corrected Amino Acid Score ] of 1.0 which is highest in the world for Proteins by W.H.O and 98% digestable. Please advice.
----------

Kidney stones can be caused by very severe dehydration (such as saunas), too much calcium, too much uric acid, too much oxalic acid and a few other causes but a high protein intake is not a problem unless it is all animal protein such as red meat which is high in uric acid or prawns which are extremely acidic.

The protein powder that you are taking is no problem whatever because it is a protein product without any uric acid in it.  (+ info)

How to stay awake during class?

I try to stay awake during calculus and government but I find myself dozing off no matter how hard. What are some techniques that wake me up and energize me?

I know I should sleep more but I can't because school starts earlier, I have to stay after school because of school tennis team, and taking very hard ap classes that with over 3 hours of homework everyday.
----------

I'm the same in AP US History. Drink coffee or energy drinks? Eat a good breakfast? Pinch yourself really hard every time you doze off? Tell your friends to snap you back when you are dozing off? Whatever keeps you paying attention.  (+ info)

Dentist didn't remove all of the calculus that was on my teeth?

I still see very minute calculus behind my front teeth.
Is this permanent calculus; is there even a such thing?
Not calculus as in the mathematics kind of stuff..
calculus as in tartar build up.
