What is the difference between facial foam and facial scrub?

I mean, the difference in their usage, effectiveness, and so on. Yesterday I went to Guardian. It was my first time buying facial products. The salesgirl told me that I should be using facial scrub since I am a first time user. But I mistakenly bought the facial foam. This morning I tried the facial foam eventhough the salesgirl told me that first timers should use facial scrub. Should I worry? Or, should I follow her advice? I am totally lost in this area, please guide me.

It is important to only exfoliate skin twice a week, unless it is a daily exfoliator. Be gentle with the skin, do not press down hard, lightly stroke it across the face. Use a gentle exfoliation with smaller grains to prevent irritation, never exfoliate straight after shaving, however it is benefical to exfoliate the beard to prevent in-grown hairs and it also lifts the beards up, providing a closer shave.

When used in the theatre, film or television industry, a facial prosthesis alters a person's normal face into something extraordinary. Facial prosthetics can be made from a wide range of materials - including latex, foam latex, silicone, and cold foam. Effects can be as subtle as altering the curve of a cheek or nose, or making someone appear older or younger than they are. A facial prosthesis can also transform an actor into a sci-fi creature, an anthropomorphic animal, mythological beast and more.  (+ info)

Whats the difference between Facial Scrub and Facial Cleansers?

I am planning to buy the Clean and Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub to replace my old facial cleanser. But is it possible that I can replace it or is facial scrub something completely different?
To those who are telling me to use it once a week or so: I have read many reviews of this product and a lot of them say you need to use it daily to get the effects. So thats how I came up with the idea of replacing it with my facial cleanser
----------

A facial scrub has little "bits" in it that make it rougher so it exfoliates more. Each scrub is different in the size of it's bits which can make it softer on the face or rougher (the old school st ives apricot scrub was insane, but it worked sooo good). Anyway, if your face isn't really sensitive it shouldn't be a problem to switch, but I would check the consistency of the clean and clear before buying it to make sure it won't be too rough on your face. Or if it is too rough for every day use you can use it once a week to exfoliate...  (+ info)

What kind of facial product should I use?

I've used many facial products but most of them don't work. The one that does work, I don't have time to put it on or I'm too lazy because it takes a while to put on. I've used proactiv but it doesn't work too well. And other products get my skin irrated, dry, and itchy. It doesnt even need to be a product you buy from the stores. It can just be a facial that i make from varietys of foods. Unless anyone knows where to get a facial mask from a tube?

What does a facial do for the skin and is it beneficial for everyone?

I have sensitive skin, but would like to treat myself to a facial. Is this recommended even though I have sensitive skin and have never had a facial before? What types of things does a facial entail?
----------

Yes you would be a perfect candidate for a facial. A facial cleanses the skin, removes dead skin cells and deeply hydrates the skin, it helps to regulate sebum production and increases blood flow etc. It is very beneficial. A regular Deep Cleansing Facial (1 hour) consists of the following:
*Cleansing of your skin, twice
*Skin examined under a magnifiying lamp to work out which products would be best to use on you
*Exfoliate with steam
*20 minute face neck and decolletage massage
*15 minute mask
* Serum, eye, neck and day cream applied.

The above can vary slightly depending on the line of products which the salon uses and the therapists techniques.

Often sensitive skin can be very dry so it is recommended to have a facial- not may people have true sensitive skin (in Beauty Therapist terms) but have slight sensitivities to various products. Still ensure that you tell the therapist that you have sensitive skin, to prevent any breakouts and to make sure that the correct products are used. Make sure that they only use a non abrasive exfoliant on you - preferably a Gommage or Bio Peel where they do not need to rub in or use any friction on your skin. I would recommend either going to a salon which uses natural products or going to one which uses a trusted brand such as "Sothys" as they have great senstive product lines.

Does facial treatment really help in getting rid of pimples and acne?

I have some acne and pimples as well as scars on my face. My friends were suggesting me to go for facial treatment but I'm not sure whether it will really help me in clearing the acne, pimples and the scars.

Should I go for facial treatment?
----------

Ok, I'm 16. I hate acne, so I spent probably a good 15+ hours searching the internet looking for cures. Here are my best

results, and what got them.

1. Go to a local drug store, buy benzoyl peroxide
Important! If your skin is sensitive, start with 2%,
then in a week or so, move to 5%, then 10.
10 is the highest you can go without getting a prescription.

2. Go to pretty much any grocery store, and get "Apple Cider Vinegar". Yes, it sounds disgusting, and it is. But it keeps

your body healthy which results in better skin. No matter how good of facial stuff you use, you can't have perfect skin

without a healthy body.

3. Get some sort of face moisturizing lotion, AKA "beauty lotion". Don't get normal lotion or it will clog your pores,

causing more breakouts.

4. Get the white (must be white) Dove TM bar soap. Was your face with that.

5. Get apricot scrub. Try to find one with really a really fine grit. Not too chunky. Scrub your face very gently, because

irritation in itself can cause acne.

--------------------------------------...
Application

1. Wash your face morning and night. I suggest using the Apricot scrub only once a day, which will give your skin some time

to heal from the last time you mangled it.

2. Pat-dry your face to prevent irritation. Apply your benzoyl peroxide of choice. Avoid your eye area. It WILL burn your

eye areas. Rub in.

3. Let dry. Apply moisturizer, again do not go around eye areas because the benzoyl peroxide will then be on your hands.

4. Drink a few tablespoons of the vinegar daily (that was enough for me). Tips with that: mix in with some sort of lemonade

mix, or something similar.

TIPS:

Change your pillow-case weekly. Drool, hair, and sweat has all be ground into that pillow case. Think its good for your

skin?

Don't touch your face! But if you do, make sure your hands are at least clean.

Keep your hair from rubbing against your skin.

Wait for your zits to be fully developed for you to get all the nastiness out of them. If they are being stubborn, use a

sterilized needle to break the skin.

Try not to stress about your skin, as hard as that may be, because stress will cause more acne. Everyone gets acne once in a

while (at least) so, it shouldn't surprise them.

Please let me know what your results are. I spent a lot of time on this article, and I'd be happy to know if this helped

you.

What facial cleanser and moisturizer will keep my face shine-free the whole day and keep all blemishes away?

I have been using mary kay for the past few years, and it worked pretty good, except I got the odd blemish. For the past month and a bit I've been using clinique and it keeps all acne away but my face is shiny about an hour or so after I use it. What facial cleanser and moisturizer will keep my face shine-free the whole day, not dry out my skin and keep the blemishes away?
----------

If you want to stick with Clinique, get their green toner. I think it's called clarifying lotion? It's a cloudy green. It contains 0.5% beta hydroxy acid (BHA). BHA will dissolve the oil in your pores and make your skin look less shiny. Also, make sure you're using their dramatically different moisturizing GEL and not the lotion.

What is the typical facial expression of a man when he achieves orgasm?

Some men try to fake orgasm. But I know it's very hard to fake a facial expression. So maybe facial expression can tell if he's telling the truth or not

Share your views, thanks
----------

People typically have an expression that resembles pain. Nerves interpret this intense experience in the same manner as pain because they don't think anything else should be able to trigger that level of stimuli, and moves the muscles accordingly.  (+ info)

What is the best facial cleanser that gets rid of acne fast?

I don't have bad acne, I just have frequent breakouts because I play lots of sports. I need to know the best acne facial cleanser that works, but not proactiv because I can't afford it. What other facial cleansers work well and get rid of acne?
----------

It really depends on your skin type, but you need something that unclogs your pores w/ benzoyl peroxide as a main ingredient. Proactive is good but the ONLY thing that works for me, since i play sports alot too, is Clean & Clear Deep Clean. it is in a blue and white and green bottle and it really works. it showed a MAJOR difference in 2 days!!! not joking. it sounds like a commercial lol but it really works! it doesnt take long touse it. every mornin and night but it is fine if you do it once a day. My breakouts aren't NEARLY as frequent and when i do have one, there isnt as many pimples. ok hope i helped! you should really try it since you play sports!  (+ info)
