How long to cook leg quarters in the oven?


Im going to cook 4 leg quarters for dinner tonight but I dont know and not sure for how long should I cook them in the oven?How much temperature to use also?

I will just put the 4 leg quarters in a rectangular baking pan with rack on it.Do I also have to wrap each of them with tin foil or its ok not to..??

I don't wrap mine in foil at all. Just rinse pat dry, place seasonings under the skin, then (when decadent) a bit of butter on each or rub down with butter.

In oven 350 degrees for 45 min. Make sure liquid is clear and not pink, have a test cut into the thickest one. Should be good to go. Enjoy!  (+ info)

What are some effective ways to lose leg fat and then tone them?


I know that spot reducing is impossible but what are some exercises that might help me lose the weight.
My legs(whole leg) are the heaviest parts of my body, and it is a hereditary gene on the most part.

Do a quickie leg work out everyday to reduce fat in that area.

Start off with 50 squats.
Then move to about 50 lunges (with 3-5 pound weights if you want a challenge).
Go for a quick 1 mile run.

How do you wear regular jeans with leg warmers?


I'm dressing for an 80's themed party and don't have any straight or skinny leg pants. My sister in law showed me once how to fold or cuff your pants so that they fit nicely under leg warmers, but I can't remember how. Does anyone have any tips for making a less bulky cuff? P.S. I'm going to be wearing high heels.

Oh jeez, I can tell ya cause I used to do this to my jeans in the 80s. Fold the bottom part of the jean over to fit your leg snuggly like the others are saying and fold it toward the back so you don't see the fold at the front and then fold it up 2 times to keep it in place. The leg warmers should hide any bulk that there might be if your jeans are a wider flare. Man were those some bad fashion days! What are some good ways to build leg strength?


I am hoping to be a punter (so what if I aim low, I like punting) in high school next year, and right now with no leg excercising besides stretching, I can consistently punt the ball around 35-40 yards. I would like to be able to top this, but I do not have a gym membership and no weights at home. Any leg strength workouts?

The best way to increase in a sport is to do repetitive motions of the sport, so just keep punting over and over.

As for leg exercises, punting depends a lot more on form and dexterity than strength, as more often than not, adding muscle slows you down. You can try for very lean muscle but losing fat instead through some kind of aerobic like swimming or if your at home do weightless squats a whole bunch of times.  (+ info)

How long until my leg acne will start healing?


I just bought Witch Hazel, and I want to know how long until it starts healing, I've had leg, and arm acne for a couple yrs now.

It could take up to 6 weeks to heal. I had it bad also. One day i tried using water and baking soda to make a paste. I put it on for about 15 minutes everyday and 2 weeks later it cleared up which was perfect, because summer was right around the corner.  (+ info)

How can you prevent night leg cramps from occurring?


Sometimes while sleeping at night I get very bad cramps in my legs that causes me to awake screaming. What causes this and how can I prevent it? What is actually going on inside my leg? It feels like a large foreign item in my leg turning around and around, slowly moving and knotting up. The pain usually last for a minute or more. I usually just squeeze my leg and scream until it stops. When it finally subside, it leave me exhaulted.

Leg cramps are the first place your body targets when you are dehydrated. Drink lots of water! I recommend purified water and Mineral Water mixed 50/50. The Mineral Water is going to put back into the muscles the minerals they are losing on a daily basis. You must drink beyond your thirst to get the benefits of hydration.

I suggest that adults and children drink 40 ounces of water per 100 pounds of body weight every day. Realize that exercise, ambient temperature, and state of health affect the water needs of your body.

In the evening take a hot bath with 2c. of dissolved Epsom salts and soak for 30 minutes. Afterwards, if you have something shaped like a cylinder and made out of hard material (think of a large rolling pin you would use for pizza dough or something) place it under your leg and push down and roll it back and forth...this should massage the spasms out of your leg. It will hurt while you're doing it, but more so the type of pain that actually feels good, in the long run. Afterwards massage an analgesic cream into the area. You will start feeling better very quickly.

take 500mg of calcium and magnesium before bedtime. This will also help stop the leg cramps.  (+ info)

i hat shaving, it leaves my legs super dry and my leg hair will start to grow back in two days... i need an alternative, but i dont want to go out waxing :) So i need something thati can buy at a drug store or walmart.

What causes muscles in the leg or foot to suddenly lock up?


It's painful, and if you're driving when it happens, you can panic and possibly cause an accident.
It has happened to both my wife and myself on several occasions.
Are these what they call leg cramps?
Are there any treatments for this?

I get them from time to time. Used to be so bad that I would get bruises from them in my calves. Now I take magnesium - two tablets/day, and rarely ever have a cramp. (Unless I forget to take it)

Exercise seems to help somewhat, like doing stretching exercises in the pool and doing leg stretches before bed, if you have night cramps.

Also changing footwear, like from wearing high heels a lot to wearing flats or vice-versa can precipitate an attack.

What should i start using to remove/or shave my leg hair?


I am 14 and want to start shaving or getting my leg hair removed. what should i start with that will still give myself smooth legs? razor? electric shaver? veet? nair? wax (hope not)? by the way, my leg hair is really really thin but dark brown.
also, if i need to use a razor, how many blades should it have?

Waxing gives you get better results for longer - it can be painful, but it becomes less painful in time - the problem is home waxing kits are useless, so you'd have to see a professional, which is expensive.

Veet/Nair is useless, it can fail to work so leaving you with rubbery hairs that cannot be removed any other way for a few days or leave you with black bits as it leaves the roots of the hairs under the skin, or it can cause irritation or allergic reaction/chemical burn. Plus it lasts no longer than shaving.

Shaving is the way to go - it isn't as good as waxing or using an epilator, but it is the easiest and as long as you do it right it will be smooth and you can avoid razor rash.

If using a manual razor never shave dry, you need water to lubricate your skin, also shave down with the grain of the hair. Get a good manual razor, blades need replacing when they drag or you need to use more pressure - I recommend Gillette Venus Breeze, they're expensive but have skincare bars either side, these aren't needed but show when to replace, when you learn this yourself switch. Take care of your razor, give it a swish about in water after each stroke, and don't leave anywhere wet.

Don't worry about getting shave gel or foam, just use soap to get a good lather and then use a cheap (but reasonably thick) hair conditioner - this makes something similar in texture to shaving foam, but it's a little cheaper and a lot kinder on your skin, it also does actually seem to work better for shaving so you can shave more often without irritating your skin or as much risk of cutting. Cutting yourself happens, just keep some plasters in the bathroom just in case, take it slow.

Moisturise after shaving, I recommend olive oil with a little nice smelling essential oil, this is very moisturizing and very skin-friendly so helps with healing too, it will also give your legs a glossy look making them appear smoother.  (+ info)
