Husband has low grade fever, back pain and skin sensitive to touch. What is this?

This has been going on since Wednesday evening. Usually if he gets sick he's better in a couple days. Here it is Sunday morning, and he still has symptoms. He's been resting and downing fluids. The fever has ranged from normal to 99 degrees. Never that we know of going above 99 degrees. The back pain has been consistent, mostly lower back pain. Today he says it hurts all over. Skin through stomach, chest and back area is sensitive if touched. Also, he's been very tired and has that "hit by a bus" feeling.

his body is just establishing equilibrium. he must have had something bad happen recently or has been under a lot of stress for too long.
try acupuncture to speed up the process, and spinal manipulation for the pain.
good luck.

I get sharp pain in my low back when I step down & sometimes when I lift my leg to take a step. any ideas?

I have had two back surgeries and still have this pain & just recently had a meylogram which showed nothing wrong with my back or the surgeries. The doc looked at my SI joint too and that was fine. I just don't know what else to look at! If someone has any ideas, I would be so happy to hear them!

You might have a broken tail bone. There isnt anything a doctor could do but you still might want to go see one to confirm it.  (+ info)

Did you or do you experience low back pain in the 3rd trimester? Is it normal?

I've been having low back pain for about 2 weeks already and I was wondering if it's normal...

It's listed as a labor symptom so I'm just wondering?
I'm only 29 wks by the way.
----------

First of all, try to avoid getting the pain in the first place - take regular breaks, make sure your seat is adjusted optimally, and so on. Basically all those things they told you to do on your orientation course. In case you don't work for a large multinational, and in the event you didn't have a fancy orientation day.  (+ info)

I'm 45, late period, cramps, low back pain, and not pregnant. What do you think?

I know I should consult a doctor, but I'm looking for possiblities. I'm 45, had both tubes removed years ago, low back pain, low intermitant abdominal cramping for 4 days, nausea without vomiting, and 3 weeks late .
LED, I want you to remember that old crack when you hit 40. ;-)

Oh, my dear ... you have 'only just begun' to 'have problems' with your 'periods.' What you are experiencing is one of the many 'symptoms' you can have with 'perimenopause' ... the period BEFORE your periods 'stop totally for a full year' (FULL menopause). Yes, you should see your doctor, because you could also have another disease or physical problem (like hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, or even ovarian or cervical cancer) ... but from your 'description' (yes, even the 'nausea without vomiting') sounds like 'perimenopause' to me.  (+ info)

I have recently switched birth control pills and am having horrible low back pain, why?

I just switched birth controls from Yaz to LoSEASONIQUE, I took the new birth control (LoSEASONIQUE) for the first time on Monday and then forgot to take it last night (Tuesday) and all day today (Wednesday) I have been having horrible lower back and abdominal pain, as well as being extra moody, any correlation? should I keep taking it? and just take 2 tonight or stop all together?

Take the pill as prescribed and call your doctor. Basically, does you pill tell you to take it with lots of water, if so, do it. I didn't for mine and had a similar problem with my lower back.  (+ info)

Lower abdominal aches and low back pain at 7 weeks pregnant?

This is my second pregnancy. I miscarried with my first back in April this year. I was wondering if anyone experience these types of pains in early pregnancy and everything was fine. I have not had any bleeding or anything just the pain on and off. I was diagnosed earlier with a Uti but have since been treated. My follow-up appt confirmed the Uti was gone. Do you think it is still possible to have one and that is causing the achiness. Any advice I would greatly appreciate.

Congrats! you sound pregnant to me! HAhaha. these are just the beginnings of strange things to happenYour lower abdomen is streching and making room for baby and all the extra weight........the back pain will just keep getting worse ( sorry to say)
Go get a book called "what to expect when you're expecting" it's the pregnancy bible. All you questions - even ones you didn't think of - are answered in there. You can get it just about anywhere - even at Walmart. I am pregnant with my 4th and I still refer to it almost daily.  (+ info)

Help herniated disc low back.My husband had disectomy 9 months ago low back. The pain is gone from leg but?

he says his buttock has pain and some in the back.I thought surgery took care of this issue.Anyone with this experience if so what to do to make it go away. Thank you!
----------

He could have re-ruptured his disc, depending on what he has been doing. Even though it has been 9 months the area is still somewhat sensitive so it is possible. Also, check with the doctor about physical therapy.
Try to have him back off activity for a few days to see if it calms down, if not go see the doctor who did the surgery.  (+ info)
