How safe is it to have multiple cesareans?

I am a mother of three; I babygirl in in heaven now being the angel that I always knew she was. Now, I only have my two boys with me. I had been thinking about having another child but, after I had my daughter, I felt my family was complete and I got my tubes tied at the age of 22. Now I long to have another child. I have already had 3 c-sections and I have a condition called endometriosis which can cause infertility. I want the reversal surgery so I can be able to have more children and then there is the risk of chancing another c-section. If anybody out there has any experiences like the one I'm longing to experience please let me know. I've read that a vaginal birth can be tried after multiple c-sections but, alot of risks go along with that. I need info on reversal surgeries and having multiple c-sections please! Thank you all in advance!
----------

I myself have never had a C-section but an aquaintance of mine has 8 children ranging in age from 20- 2 and has had C-sections for all of her children. My best friend's mother had 7 children and had 7 C-sections. My best friend has had 3 C-sections. I have heard that once you have one that sometimes it is better to continue to have them. But after having the 3 C-sections my friend gave birth to two other children vaginally. It must be safe because they are all healthy and recovered nicely after each one.  (+ info)

How long after a rape is the trauma to the vagina evident?

This happened in March of this year. The person that it happened to just told us about it last week.

She has used tampons in the past but said when this happened it hurt but she didn't bleed.

My question is, if there was any trauma done to the vagina during the rape (brusing, tearing, etc) how long after the rape is that evidence able to be seen?

Also, if the person who raped her admitted in a instant message to doing so ("I'm sorry for raping you"), is that enough to get a conviction?
----------

Yes, that is enough. Evidence is hardly needed in rape cases anyhow, more then likely the accused will be forced to take a polygraph test. Healing could be complete in three to four weeks. This victim needs to see her OB/GYN. You even knowing she was raped and staying silent can make you an accessory to crime. If she won't tell, you have to. Don't keep it a secret. If she does not have him punished, she will live with a terrible nightmare of him for the rest of her life. No man has the right.  (+ info)

How do you get multiple babies to sleep in the same room?

I'm curious. What do parents with multiple babies do when it comes to nap time? I'm sure parents with quadruplets or whatever don't always have four separate rooms to put the babies in. And what do family daycare providers do? Won't the babies wake each other up?
----------

I have twins. Until 5 months they napped in the same crib...One slept with us at night as she wouldnt settle otherwise. Now they are 18 months old and they sleep in their own room in seperate cribs...They have gotten used to one another and actually dont wake each other up very often unless one has a total meltdown upon waking....I usually wake up the sleeping one if one wakes up and i have to go in...

You just put them to bed like any other child...One of mine has to be rubbed to go to sleep too and while im rubbing his back his twin sister rolls around in her crib and goes to sleep...I thought it would cause problems too but it really hasnt...

They do get used to sleeping around other people...Its like us with our spouses...My husband doesnt wake me up when he comes home from work at 3am...Or when he gets up to use the bathroom....  (+ info)

Can emotional trauma cause breast cancer to grow so quickly?

My mum went through an emotional trauma and 1 month later she was diagnosed with a 1.8cm lump which turned out to be breast cancer. Is it possible for breast cancer to start growing so quickly after an emotional shock?
----------

No.

Firstly, cancer does not develop that quickly. Your mum's cancer has almost certainly developed over a long period of time.

Secondly, cancer is not connected to emotional trauma.Sometimes people are desperate to find an explanation for their cancer, and will identify a time of great stress or trauma -divorce, bereavement etc - and assume there is a connection.

There isn't any credible evidence, though, that stress or trauma contribute to the cause of any cancers, or affect the progress of cancer. Many people who are diagnosed with cancer have had recent traumas, but just as many have not. The same is true for people who haven't been diagnosed with cancer. There isn't a pattern.

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my sister was - still is - convinced it was due to a time of great stress a couple of years earlier; she was ignoring the fact that my cancer had been developing for many years (it was advanced) and certainly predated that traumatic time.

Sorry to hear that your mum has cancer; my best wishes for her treatment.  (+ info)

If Ctscan shows multiple lumps in neck what will be the next step to prove it is cancer?

I've had an enlarged lymphnode in my neck for over a year now and my doctor is sending me for a ctscan to see if there are multiple lumps in my neck. I have a family history of cancer so that is why the doctor is being cautious. If there are multiple lumps in my neck I am unsure what the next step would be to determine cancer and that is what I am wondering. Thank you.

I would say bloodwork to test for tumor markers. This is how they found cancer in my mother in law. And we're now awaiting bloodwork for my husband.  (+ info)

What are good ways to give multiple baby books as a present for baby shower?

I want to find a good way to give multiple books as a present for a friend's baby shower. I didn't want to wrap because the final product would look awkward since the books are different sizes. Can someone help me?

Thank you in advance :)
----------

I know you said you dont want to wrap them but maybe wrap them all singly with different papers then stack them up from biggest to smallest putting a bit of tape in between and the string a bow around it and maybe link a paccy or a teddy on top?

Its the first thing i could think of other than a fancy gift bag.  (+ info)

How do you become a trauma nurse?

I'm currently in nursing school and will have my BSN in a year and a half. I'm interested in trauma nursing, but I am wondering what kind of work/volunteer experience employers look for. Should I work at the ICU or the ER first, or is there a better place to start?

Also, I'm just curious as to what it's like to be a trauma nurse. All I really know is what I see on TV. It looks really exciting and interesting.

Thanks for your suggestions!
----------

ER or prehospital care would be great experience.

Don't fool yourself with the TV. If you want non-stop action, then you'll be looking for a general/city/county hospital in the inter-city. Non-stop violence. It get old quick. Plus these hospitals usually pay less and treat their employees like crap.

Should you want both Trauma, Good pay, and a good experience, look for a Magnet Nursing hospital first. You will be happy you did. Go for 'action' second.  (+ info)
