Is there a permanent solution to allergic 'rhinitis' ?

Hi there, if anyone suffers from this - does it make your ears ring, sometimes low at times others high!! My ears have been ringing and sinuses blocked for about 3 months, get frequent headaches etc. Have been told to have allergy test etc. Anyone any advice on this?

your sinuses being blocked could be causing the ear ringing. try taking some sudafed or mucron (UK) that should help them to unblock. btw this would also cause the headaches. I had chronic sinusitis for about three months not long ago and it sounds similar. good luck, I hope your feeling better soon!  (+ info)

im taking at least 1000mg a day i read they sell powdered vitamin c at a vitamin store does that help I read that it's good for allergies
It's not the Vitamin C you need for allergic rhinitis you need, you need an antihistamine for relief from allergy, and a nasal spray to prevent your allergy. You can pick up an antihistamine from your drug store and a nasal spray from your doctors office(prescription item).
Allergy is caused by the protein of the pollen.
Dust mites live under beds, so regular vaccumming is the best.

Rhinitis, how long can it last. . . i am 17 and have had it for 3 months and it shows no signs of going away or being reduced by medications. I am looking into homopathy and dont know what is causing my allergy, it is not the environment because i vacationed for a month and a half and it did nothing.

I've been experiencing constant sneezing esp. in the morning. The more I blow my nose the more I sneeze which in turn is followed by a running nose, It's a cycle!
I have heard that pulling out your nose hairs can cause infection. My right nostril might be infected from doing this. This may have led to post-nasal-drip and why I cough constantly. I ought to get it checked out. Anyway, I still pull my nosehair every other day. It appears to grow about 3 times as fast in my right nostril then in my left. But you gotta do something with them right? I know people that have nose hair about a quarter inch long sticking out. Apparently they like having a forest sticking out of their nose. And these are my female friends I'm talking about! I think there is tool that one can insert in ones nostril and its electric. It works like a small upside down weed-wacker. I'd like to get one of these. But I'm a wicked procrastinator and a lazy one at that.  (+ info)

Has Acupuncture ever been an option for those with Non Allergic Vasomotor Rhinitis? I am not allergic, but instead suffer from the "great Imposter" and have a very sensitive and tempermental nose. Any other homeopathic remedies for this disease.

I heard that acupuncture is effective for sinus problems from a guy on a message board once. He said it was effective after 2 treatments, but he went for 4 treatments in all. That's all I got for ya!  (+ info)
