I don't know exactly how to describe this, but in the inner thigh region my skin is peeling. I have been using diaper rash cream. So now on these inside corners of my legs and spreading on to like, the skin of my nether regions, I have not a rash, but peeling skin that is reddish/purple. It actually appears as if my skin has been burned off. I am using the diaper rash cream and baby oil and it appears to be helping as far as irritation. But what could it be?

I don't know how to phrase this question, but simply how does your skin peel. I know that Ultraviolet radiation damages the skin cells's DNA, and then repairs itself using enzymes.

Hi Danielle, well firstly dont stress about getting dark because of the sun - white white people like me envy you, lol. Anyway, the best blockout for you is one especially for the face and make sure it is SPF30.

One that is good is made especially for babies but if your skin has had acne then I suggest one for the face as it will not clog the pores and cause more acne - I am not sure of brands in Hawaii (wish I was there to personally investigate this for you, lol again ENVY) but also make sure it is 4-6 hours water repellant if you go in the water and reapply it every 3-4 hours just to be on the safe side.

You can get a product called Drula Bleaching Wax (on line or email them asking for supplier in Hawaii - they answer very quickly) and this product will also clear any acne and acne scars. It is a fantastic product. I used it growing up in the New Romantic era of the 80's and my skin was snow white and gorgeously clear. I remember a male friend telling me that I reminded him of a song by Lloyd Cole "Shes got perfect skin", lol.

I never did hear that song but I took it has a supreme compliment and I owed it to Drula Complexion Soap and Beauty Lotion and Bleaching Wax. Many long years later and I still have beautiful skin and not a wrinkle or scar on it.

Aloe vera straight from the plant's leaves - break off a succulent leaf and squeeze the gel out of it (much the same as you would squeeze toothpaste from a tube) and apply to your scars. It is a natural healing plant and got rid of my son's burn marks after an accident at 10 with hot oil in the pan. At 16, he has no scars from that accident and they were severe and numerous all over his face and stomach.

How can I prevent skin from drying out from chlorine water?

I have 2 sons ages 12 and 10 who are both in swimming lessons 3 days a week. It's in a inside pool, lots of chlorine and their lesson lasts 75 minutes long. They have extremely smooth delicate skin, but we all know chlorine dries our skin out horribly.

What can I do to prevent their skin from drying out like this?
we used to use baby oil - before getting in the pool.

when we were in the pool, our skin felt silky smooth, and it was ok when we got out.

How does skin cancer start out looking like?

Lately I have had little bumps not huge but like almost skin scab looking things (not scabs though). And I am in the sun doing activities a lot and I was wondering if it almost seems like it can or be a possibility of skin cancer? I'm not sure.
I think that whatever you have, you should consult the dermatologist right away. I used to work in a medical show and we featured this young guy who initially had skin cancer. Now, half of his face is gone just because he thought that what he had was a new mole. It started just like a simple dot--really like a mole-- but it started growing and becoming a wound. The thing is, cancer--not just skin cancer-- manifests in several ways. That same guy first thought he had skin cancer but actually, the doctors found out later that it was muscle cancer.  (+ info)

I currently use products from The Body Shop, but would like to branch out/use cheaper brands. However, I am concerned about my skin's reaction to products and would like to hear from others. I have used Origins, which I enjoy. My make up remover is Physician's Organic Wear. Drugstore products like Neutrogena are WAY too harsh on my skin.

My ex girlfriend uses Allmay products.She says the same thing.I wanted to treat her to a day of beauty at Elizabeth Grady and she said all their stuff is too harsh. I got her this Lancome perfume and gift set with beauty products.
