I have had vaginal discharge for a few monthes now. Are there any other things to do besides asking my mom to buy liners? Like to cover my underwear. My discharge is normal clearish and somtimes thick and sometimes thing so nothing is wrong I just want to know if there are other ways besides liners to "protect" my underwear.

Vaginal discharge?

I have a question about vaginal discharge if anyone can answer for me. I've been having it ever since I'm about 14 years old, a short time after I have my period. Im now 31 and I am still having it, but don't know the reason why. I had checked w/ my OBGYN to see if anything's wrong w/ me, but they said everything is fine. The discharge comes everyday and it is really really bothersome. I had tried from chinese herbs to medicine from the OBGYBN (vaginal insertion), but I still be having it. If anyone can give me some suggestion or feedback on what I should do, I'll be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If the doc said its normal it probably is...some women just produce a lot more than others and I dont think there is anything you can do to change that. But you could wear panty liners to be more comfortable  (+ info)

vaginal discharge?
the discharge is sometimes a light greenish color. and sometimes it looks like cottage cheese. it has a foul smell. it comes and goes. and i've been experiencing this for some months now. i've postponed looking into this any earlier, because frankly i'm scared of going to a doctor. i have only had sexual intercourse with my boyfriend of 2 years, and he claims i was his first too. so could this be an std or maybe just an infection?? do i just need to shower more than once a day? are there any solutions or over the counter meds? please help. i'm totally terrified.
F#CK!!! so if it is gonorrhea, can i be cured? or is it long term? this also means he lied to me, doesn't it? :(
----------

I know you're scared, but you need to go to the doctor. You most likely need an antibiotic for whatever is going on.

Don't freak out by some of the other answers, you may just have a bacterial vaginitis infection or a yeast infection. Either way, you need to have a pelvic exam to see what's going on.

You shouldn't let an infection go on and on, it can lead to long term problems, especially if it may be something sexually transmitted.

Good Luck.  (+ info)

vaginal Discharge.....?

I don't have sex thatt often (at most once every month), and I noticed that the days after it my discharge is a lot and very white, is that normal?
----------

Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.  (+ info)

What does vaginal discharge look like and does it change the closer you get to your period?

Is vaginal discharge meant to be sort of yellow green and quite thick and gunky. And does it change the closer you get to your period?
----------

It looks like white or clear mucous. If it's clear it means you are close to ovulation.

Once you start puberty a white and/or clear mucous discharge is normal. The vagina is self-cleaning. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused. Trust me, you don't ever want it to go away. You will also have your own scent - musky - and it will smell stronger to you than to others.

You can have this normal discharge for weeks, months or even years before getting your first period. It will also continue after you get your period. You can wear a pantyliner if it bothers you.

This normal white/clear discharge will dry yellow when exposed to air. If it is coming out yellow, then you probably have a bacterial infection.

Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown. This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle. Your first period can look like this also.

Different types of infections:

Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching

Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva  (+ info)

You know vaginal thrush? What is the discharge made of, candida strands or infection fighting mucous?

:Ok, gross question but what exactly is the discharge that comes with vaginal thrush? Is it actually the candida organism, or is it some kind of discharge your body makes to try and fight the infection? And why does the discharge change consistency (watery, etc)
Thanks for any help, i hope this answer will help me understand, and maybe overcome two years of thrush hell!

What are some possible causes of vaginal discharge?

I recently lost my virginity and I've experienced a lot of changes since then. Is it possible that you can have more vaginal discharge than you used to (or more than you noticed before) simply because your hymen is not blocking as much? Or could there be other reasons for this excessive discharge? It's really not enough that it's getting in my underwear or anything, it's just wetter down there than I'm used to. It's kind of annoying actually. Anyone know anything about this? My partner does not have any STDs. I've known him for 12 years and he's been tested so I shouldn't have any either. Thanks.
I'm 22 and so is he, for the information of the person who asked. We're getting married in a year. I don't see what our ages has to do with anything...
The discharge is milky, cloudy, and whitish. It has backed off in the last couple of days. I'm pretty sure that I ovulated over the weekend (Friday or Saturday), but I guess I would have expected it to back off more and be drier by this point. It's a little stretchy, but definitely not as stretchy as ovulation mucus but it's not as sticky as my post-menses/pre-ovulation mucus either.

Yeast infections, bacterial infections, STDs, and before your period you often produce excess discharge. If you're worried, then go to the doctor. Most likely it's nothing. Women have discharge now and then and it's probably nothing.  (+ info)

how to tell the difference between vaginal discharge and sexual arousal?

how do you tell the difference between vaginal discharge that you get in the morning and the wetness due to sexual arousal?
cause i wanna know if she's faking it or really into it.
----------

I bet she can't even tell.
If she's into it, she'll let you know when she's ready. It hurts if she does it before she's ready so she won't fake it.  (+ info)

What are the normal changes in vaginal discharge during a cycle?

What are the normal changes in vaginal discharge during a cycle? Like how is it supposed to be during ovulation, before menstruation and after menstruation? and also how is it during pregnancy?
----------

Glands inside your vagina and cervix make small amounts of fluid. This fluid flows out of the vagina each day, carrying out old cells that have lined the vagina. This is your body's way of keeping your vagina healthy and clean. The discharge is usually clear or milky and doesn't smell bad.

The color and thickness of the discharge change with your monthly cycle. The discharge is thicker when you ovulate (when one of your ovaries releases an egg), when a woman is breastfeeding or when a woman is sexually excited.

Changes that may signal a problem include an increase in the amount of discharge, a change in the color or smell of the discharge, and irritation, itchiness or burning in or around your vagina. This is called vaginitis. A discharge that's stained with blood when you're not having your period could also be a sign of a problem. Some other types of infections such as yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis can also cause discharge that is usually accompanied by odor such as beer/yeast/fish.

I would recommend that if you have any of these signs or any concerns regarding this you consult with your doctor for a proper diagnosis and for proper treatment should you have anything other than just a normal vaginal discharge.

Good luck :)
