Warts......?

I have had about 4 small bumps on my finger for a few years. They really don't look like warts, just bumps. I asked the doctor to remove them, so he did his thing, and then they got really big and then really small, and left a little mark. Then, they came back again. Are they warts? What can I use to get rid of them? Good wart removers fast?
----------

They sound a bit like warts.I have had then on my hands for years and get the frozen with dry ice by the doc every few years. They grow prettly slowly though and I don't think you can cure them. You can get kits to remove them at home but I don't think you ever really get rid of them completely.  (+ info)

Are common warts really 'common'? Do common warts spread to other areas of the body, especially the face? And is it treatable? I have about three on my hands and I'm worried that it'll spread...

What is the difference between warts on your hands and the warts on your genitals caused by HPV?

I know that HPV causes genital warts, but can the genital warts be found anywhere else on the body besides the anus and mouth/throat? I also know that warts come from a variety of viruses, but if you have warts on your genitals, are they automatically caused from HPV, or are they tested for another viral strain? Does HPV strains include any wart that can be found in the genital area?
----------

One common property of all papilloma viruses is that they are supposed to cause odd or excessive growth of epithelial tissue. In some cases this means warts. In other cases, it means cancer.

There are hundreds of strains of human papilloma viruses. Some affect the skin on the hands and feet. Some affect the genitals.

If you have genital warts, it is generally acknowledged to be some form of HPV because as I said earlier, papilloma viruses cause warts and epithelial cancers. The very origin of the term "papilloma" referred to warts (though if you must get into etymology, it's from a word for "butterfly").  (+ info)

What natural remedies are useful for genital warts in the anus area?

I have genital warts (HPV virus) around my anus area and want to know what can I use to get rid of them or make the itching stop. Do the same remedies for regular warts work for genital warts? What is safe in the anus area? Do you know of any websites or resources for genital warts? Thanks for all your help
----------

you need to see a dr. they can remove them for you even at the health department. they can treat them a few different ways. if all of the warts are removed at one they should not come back, unless you sleep with someone who has the warts also. you will still have the hpv and can transmit it, but you cant give ppl the warts once you have them taken off.

be prepared, it hurts like hell when they treat them too.   (+ info)

What is the relationship between plantars warts on the feet and cervical cancer?

I read something about the HPV virus that causes plantar warts being connected to increased chances of cervical cancer?! I know HPV as related to genital warts can cause cancer, but if someone has plantar warts, should they be concerned about cancer?

What causes warts to grow on the corner of my fingernails?

Both of my thumbs have had noticeably-sized warts on them for six months now, and smaller ones are beginning to appear on my left middle finger...Why is this happening?
Disregard the first two answers
----------

that's just where the cuticles are most likely to crack open I guess, if you go swimming in a public pool or even a private pool it's pretty easy to get warts infecting any little cuts you have

I'm actually dead serious, I had them before too. Believe it or not, warts are actually an infectious virus, HPV. Don't worry ,you don't have an std, the same virus causes all six types of warts. You don't have to go swimming to get them, you can also catch them by straight up touching another person's warts or by tiny little wart fragments coming into contact with your skin, where the virus can enter through cuts so small that you're unaware of them. The last one is more likely than it sounds, miniscule wart fragments shed themselves everywhere a wart goes, it's a good way to spread the virus. Eventually your body will build up an immunity to the virus, that could however take months or a couple years, so I would look for treatment. Good luck.  (+ info)

How to prevent warts after walking barefoot in a public place?

I just finished gym class at school and we are learning martial arts so I have to walk in barefeet with about 60 other kids. How do I prevent myself from getting warts from other people like my friend that has one on her foot? Should I just wash my feet as soon as I get home or what?? Please help! Thanks!
----------

Warts is a virus that enters your body through broken skin so as long as you don't have any cuts or sores on your feet you will be fine. Ensure with your gym instructor that the mats are being disinfected after every use and ask he/she why they are allowing students with warts on their feet to even participate without having socks on. Definitely disinfect your feet as soon as you can after wards but as long as you don't have any cuts or sores you really aren't at any risk because the virus cannot enter.  (+ info)

What is the best home remedy for removing warts from feet?

I first had a single wart on the toe next to my big toe and its been there for a year and now I can see tiny warts on my big toe as well. Are there any home remedys fro removing warts?
BTW: I did cut it off, but it grew back a few weeks later.
----------

Clean it thoroughly, and put duct tape on it. Duct tape keeps it sealed off, and when it falls off it pulls off a layer. Just keep putting duct tape on it, and it will be gone before you know it.  (+ info)

Any home remedies for getting rid of warts?

I have a lot on my knee. maybe one or two on the other. I go to the skin doctor, and he freezes them but they come back as more warts. I don't want any more and i don't wanna see another doctor so does anyone have any wart removal home remedies?
----------

if you really want to remove warts forever then you should know that you can remove warts by surgery, freezing, laser, acid or with cream but warts can reappear again and again because warts appears when your immune system is weak! so you must build up your immune system because your body can get rid of warts by itself if your immune system will be strong! so eat more healthy food, more vitamins and more sport activities!
(No smoking, no beer/ale, no booze, no drugs, no junk food, no fast food garbage, no sugary sweet soda's. Get on a good, balanced, healthy diet including plenty of boiled or steamed vegetables. Drink P L E N T Y O F W A T E R , fruit juices & fat free milk. Snack on lots of RAW fruit & veggies. Get up one hour early every morning & take a BRISK 30 minute walk - then - do the same thing again in the evening after dinner. Make sure you eat a good, balanced breakfast daily. You get your energy for the day from your breakfast meal. Get 8 hours sleep each night. Flip your mattress over so it will level out to give you a good night's rest. Slack off too much coffee & tea.)

HPV is the virus that causes warts. And HPV virus has many strains. In your case you have HPV virus strain number 2. People can be infected with HPV and never show any symptoms. Others will develop warts. These warts can stay the same size, grow, or go away on their own. It depends on the infected person's immune system. A healthy immune system means your body may be able to suppress the virus and not show symptoms.

also you should use some herbal treatment!

in that case Wartrol is really good (probably the best) product that gets rid of warts comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that they wont reappear again! it says that it is designed for Genital Warts but
it does not matter because warts are warts and wartrol works by stimulating your immune system to fight the HPV virus that causes the warts. of course it is better if you use full course (5 months - if I remember correctly).

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Wartrol but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.wartrol.com/?aid=749165

The advantage of Wartrol over other natural treatments for warts is that, since it is taken orally, it can also act on invisible warts that can't be treated by other creams and natural remedies.

good luck!
