Immunoglobulin m (Gamma Globulin, 19S; IgM)

A class of immunoglobulin bearing mu chains (immunoglobulin mu-chains). IgM can fix COMPLEMENT. The name comes from its high molecular weight and originally being called a macroglobulin.
