1/3. Posthysterectomy intestinal prolapse after coitus and vaginal repair.

    INTRODUCTION: Transvaginal bowel evisceration following either vaginal or abdominal gynecologic operations is a very rare complication. Furthermore, vaginal cuff rupture with the prolapse of the small bowel through the vagina during sexual intercourse after abdominal hysterectomy in a premenopausal woman is even more rare. However, regardless of the etiology, transvaginal evisceration requires prompt recognition and surgical intervention. CASE REPORT: Here, we report a premenopausal woman who developed transvaginal bowel evisceration during the first postoperative intercourse.

2/3. A technique for surgical correction of fallopian tube prolapse.

    prolapse of the fallopian tube is a rare complication of gynecologic surgery. Five cases were operated upon in the authors' hospital within the past year. A summary of these cases is given. One of the cases, which required a second operative procedure, is discussed. The surgical technique for complete excision of the prolapsed fallopian tube via the vagina is described.

3/3. Omental evisceration after laparoscopic treatment of a tubal pregnancy. A case report and review of the literature.

    The increasing use of the laparoscopic surgery in the management of gynecologic diseases resulted in an increasing incidence of complications and the development of new complications. postoperative complications are uncommon after laparoscopy. The most common complication is incisional herniation. A rare form of port-associated complications is omental evisceration. Since herniation through trocar incision sites might implicate severe complications, the use of safety techniques should be applied on a routine basis to reduce laparoscopy-associated morbidity.
