Hi all, my kid is 3 yrs 10 mnths and has a speech delay...from last 3 mnths he has developed some interest in communicating and he repeats words and phrases as if he is learning...he uses some of the phrases, which he has learnt, appropriately to answer familiar questions, he also went for diagnosis as to what could be possible reason for speech delay but our child psychologist has said he is not having any other symptoms related to autism or adhd...possible reason could be mild sensory processing issue for the language delay...i m very concerned...when will child outgrow these speech problem...how much time it would take ideally most of the sites on net provide inf that echolalia is common for kids of age 2yrs....but i think this is true for kids who are having normal language development...of language development is delayed echolalia might come at later age only....is this the case with my kid...pls help...
