diabetic coma in a person with kidney problems

my grandmother is in her 70's she is diabetic and has kidney problems she went in a coma and had no treatment for approximately 24 hours before being admitted to hospital, when she got there had a drip and was conscious for a little while and slipped back in coma what are the chances of her surviving considering she didn't get treatment or any liquids withing the first 18-24hrs???
