i think i may have this..

i drank a bottle of water that had been left over a night or two and the next day (today) i have been suffering abdominal pain, diarrhea and nausea.

before i had even had this water, i had been getting headaches and appeared to be itching a lot. whenever i am stood about doing things i get horrible stomach pain and then have to run to the toilet as i have more diarrhea. someone please help? i am in london this weekend so cant see my gp until monday

You certainly have all the symptoms of dientamoebiasis, the most important thing is to keep your body hydrated because of all the fluid loss, this is best done using over the counter re-hydration powders like Rehydrat, Diarolite or Electrolade.

If you cant get to a chemist you can make your own re-hydrating drink by mixing a teaspoon full of sugar and a quarter of a teaspoon of salt in a pint of water.

There are plenty of drugs available to your gp to clear up any infection, don't take any 'blocking' agents for your diarrhoea those only serve to keep any infection in your system longer than need be.  (+ info)
