What is a good and healthy way to cleanse you digestive system?

Drink lots of water, and eat lots of fiber and vegetables.

There is no need to actively "cleanse" your digestive system, you body will do that for you. I recommend NOT taking a fiber supplement, such as psyllium seed husk, unless you are having persisent digestive problems.  (+ info)

Why is it everytime I go running, my digestive system does not treat me well?

I love to run, however lately every time I run I'm good for about 30minutes and then my digestive system just starts getting to me and my stomach starts hurting so much, forcing me to stop running. I've tried eating 3 hours before I run but I still get that horrible stomach aches. Do you know why and possibly how I can fix this?

Can chewing food more thoroughly be beneficial to your digestive system?

I was wondering this earlier today while I was hurriedly chewing and swallowing my food so I could get back to work. I was wondering if bigger chunks of food that take more time and effort for your body to digest could weaken your digestive system over a long period? And could taking more time to chew somehow be beneficial to your body in the long run?
----------

Yes and I've heard doctors say the same.  (+ info)

how do you cleanse out your digestive system?

Is there a way to detoxify your digestive system without using "diet juices" they have on the market? If so how?
----------

You can get a bottle of magnesium citrate from any drug store or WalMart, it is a green bottle of lime flavored liquid (tastes kinda weird but not horrible). You drink the whole bottle ( I think it's about 10 oz.) and believe me it will totally clean you out. I am a cancer patient and I have to do this before any major test/scan of my digestive system. It is easy and very cheap (less than 2.00 per bottle.) It also works very fast (anywhere from 1 1/2 to 6 hours later).  (+ info)
