How do you get rid of a migraine headache while you are on a Detox Diet?

I'm doing a detox with water, fruits, veggies, and a 7 day supplement called detox 7. Im on my 3rd day, i feel great but when i wake up i have a massive, painful headache, its unbearable.. I had to take two excedrins, i know that defeats the detox but i has in pain.
How can i get rid of the headache without taking excedrin.?
I usually drink 6 cups of coffe and have 2 red bulls a day.

Unless you have been diagnosed as having migraine, I don't think this is migraine. Withdrawing from caffeine can throw you into a horrendous headache. Considering the amount of coffee and red bull you drink, this is not surprising.

Many people consider a very bad headache to be a migraine. Migraine is a neurological disorder, which encompasses a large group of symptoms. It is not solely defined as a bad headache.

In my opinion, you would be best to fore go this detoxification process and treat yourself in a more reasonable manner. Reduce your intake of caffeine gradually. I am pretty sure the drastic steps you have taken in regards to your caffeine intake have thrown you into this headache situation.

Please be kind to yourself. Re-examine this detoxification plan. Why are you doing it? Is the "detox 7" a safe product? Is it FDA approved?

You didn't start out drinking so many caffeinated drinks all at once. You shouldn't stop them all at once.  (+ info)

How do you get rid of a persistent headache?

I took a pain killer specifically for headaches several hours ago, and my headache still hasn't gone away.

Place a cloth dipped in cold water on your forehead and lie down in a dark, cool and quiet room. Take a Paracetamol or something and go off to sleep. When you wake up, your headache usually disappears. Keep a record of what you eat and see if there is something that triggers off your headaches. Avoid that item. For some people, it is chocolate, for some it is smoking, bright lights etc. As an alternative, if you aren't able to lie down, apply some Vicks, Tiger Balm or Axe Oil on your forehead. It helps the pain fade away. Your health is really important. If you feel headachy, tell people not to disturb you and say you need rest.  (+ info)

What are some ailments and disorders that involve the human body's nervous system?

I would like to know what disorders/ailments affect the nervous system for a biology project, and I figured this was the best place to go.

I have autoimmune pernicious anaemia (unable to absorb vitamin B12 in the digestive system) which affects the nervous system as B12 is essential to maintain the myelin sheath around the nerves. If undiagnosed, it can lead to permanent paralysis, be misdiagnosed as Alzheimer's disease (and cause permanent Alzhemier's disease if not diagnosed in time) and MS and is fatal without treatment. Misdiagnosis is common as lab levels are far too low. I have nerve damage in my finger still from being misdiagnosed. I had to diagnose myself.

What is your best remedy for an achy headache?

I slipped and fell on the ice today, and hit my head pretty hard. While I don't think I have a concussion, I have a little bit of a headache because of it. Any home remedies for a headache would be appreciated. Or I wouldn't mind going to the store and picking something up if you recommend it. Thanks.

What are the odds of my children inheriting these disorders?

My fiance and I were in the process of planning our wedding, when he told me his father and aunt have a seizure disorder; presumably from his paternal grandmother, because his father and aunt have different fathers. Now, my fiance also has an aunt (on his mother's side) that has Downs Syndrome. I am concerned about possibly passing something onto my future children. What are the odds of my children inheriting one or both of these disorders?

Down Syndrome isn't something that is inherited, and seizure disorders rarely are. So very low.

If you really are concerned you could talk with a geneticist. But as far as I can tell, there probably is no need to.  (+ info)

How long can a spinal headache last, after having a blood patch already?

I had a spinal on accident was suppose to be a epidural and i got a headache the next day after delivering my son. I had a blood patch that day the headache started but since have had dull headaches off and on the last four days. Just wondering how long this will last, no pain meds are helping.

It took my doctor 7 days to figure out that I had a "spinal headache" after having back surgery. Once he figured out what it was, he told me I needed to lay flat 24/7 until it was gone. Laying flat helped a TON! He said it would allow the spinal fluid to fill up where it had none, which was causing the headaches. It was a total pain, but after a few days of getting up only to use the potty, even eating laying down, it was gone. (It didn't hurt while laying down, but after I was sitting or standing up for only about a minute it would get really bad again). I hope this helps  (+ info)

I am not in shape at all and every time that I work out I get a raging headache. I tried drinking lots of gatoraide last night after working out after the headache came on but it did not help. I have had cluster headaches in the past could they be brought on by overheating??? Please help!

The same thing happened to me. I think it is a combination of dehydration and exhaustion. Take it slow and drink a lot of water. Good luck!  (+ info)

What causes the headache in the back of your head?

I get frequent headaches at the base of my skull. Like right above my neck. Does anyone know what causes that? And why is it always right there. It's like my brain stem hurts...I know that's not the case, but that's where the headache is at.
