I've been reading and watching a lot about parasitic diseases. It seems like 1 out of 6 human beings are infected. I read about the symptoms but they sound like they can be confused with other illnesses. I've been to 3rd world countries and from my studies, that's where we get most of these parasites from. I know that it's hard to prevent yourself from being a host....it's not exactly what everyone is thinking about, it slips our minds. What should we do to find out if we're infected?
There are internal parasites and external parasites.
Internal parasites-Malaria, Filariasis, Pinworm, roundworm, hookworm, tape worm, etc

What brain and body diseases have been cured due to animal testing?
I'm totally against animal testing but I'm doing this project and I have to take an unbiased view... but no one seems to want to tell me how certain diseases have been cured. Do you know any diseases (brain and body) that have been cured due to animal testing? Please provide sources so I can check it out myself.
In 1937 the US government required that all drugs to be used by humans must be tested on animals first. other countries soon followed suit. So the simple answer is any disease that has been cured since 1937. But a really good example is rabies. since the carrier of rabies is animals. good luck with the report and i hope you learn a learn a lot. (the wiki page will take a while to get through) (+ info
Is there an association between the consumption of animal products and diseases and cancer?
In other words, can animal products like red meat, poultry, fish, eggs, cheese, or milk cause (or negatively effect the risk thereof) heart disease, stroke, cancers or osteoporosis, or even obesity?
Does anyone know where I can find some good information on this subject?

What are your opinions on animal testing for research into cures for cancers and diseases?
For the people who disagree completely with animal testing. Would you still be against animal testing if someone you loved could die because of lack of research?
I'm against, we're inflicting pain on living things just because we have pain ourselves. I think that if the drugs are supposed to be for us, then they should be tested on us, not other animals.
Also I think that there are some illnesses in the world that mankind cannot make a cure for, it's fighting for a lost cause. Lastly, in the end we all die anyway, so why make other creatures suffer alongside? (+ info
Why do animal products make auto-immune diseases worse?
My Aunt was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and her rheumatologist suggested trying a vegan diet. I also met a woman who went vegan after she was diagnosed with Lupus. What is there in animal foods that causes auto-immune disease flare-ups?
Interesting. Dairy products increase mucus production which is why doctors may advise people to avoid dairy if they are ill. This is not propoganda, it's a fact that is stated in many of my academic nutrition books. My dad has been ill for a while now, his doctors have said dairy was making him worse so he has cut it out completely. Dairy was lowering his immunity, effectively damaging his health. (And none of the family thought dairy, of all things, would be the culprit!). My mum also has been told that she should be cutting down on her dairy intake because of her health problems.
The BBC did an article on how a vegan diet may help sufferers of arthiritis. I think it's really interesting:

What are some nasty parasitic diseases that affect the body?
For my science final I need to do a presentation on a parasite that affects one (or more) of these systems: Circulation, Respiratory, Digestion or Excretory.
Any suggestions? I want a really bad one, preferably fatal or life-threatening that affects two or three (if possible) of the systems.
Thank you in advance!

Why is Australia so unfortunate in its ability to avoid major animal diseases?
This is a question for an assignment and I can't find the answer anywhere! Please help me
Are all these diseases from the government or people with sick animal fetishes?
I dunno what to think. LOL Do you think the earth is mad at us? Do you think it's some sort of plague for not believing in God? I mean seriously. Do you think it's poor farming conditions that started it? Or could it be all of those factors?
We have a bird flu, a pig flu and I think they come from people with sick animal fetishes!
HOG MADE OF CAT RAT & DOG
No people should expect peace and contentment who are opposed to the Law of God or obedience to Him that brings us into such conditions of life. Since God has exposed them and exposed the hog, they now will say to you "cook it thoroughly done and it is all right to eat." It is not all right to eat it if you cook it thoroughly and kill every pork worm there is in it. The actual flesh then is still poison and is divinely prohibited flesh that you should not even touch -- not to think of eating it, for it was not made to eat
Meat is not good for human consumption , but Meat is not a sin. Best meat to eat is lamb and fish, but the Hog, Pig, Swine is sin its divinely prohibited by God and even Jesus forbid not eat it. Thats in Bible and Quran
The food of God is the Navy Bean it has so much protiens it takes place of meat
