Criteria for Combined Ventricular Hypertrophy?

Does any one know what it means: "Positive voltage criteria for RVH and LVH in the absence of bundle branch block or pre-excitation" ? The problem it's to understand what "they" mean about de "Positive Voltage criteria..."...Help!

Too technical to explain through this site. Check the site below and look for related links on atherectomy and other heart surgery procedures for a detail description of RVH and LVH. Good luck!!!

Heart attack…can some give me some good advice

I am 24 243 lbs last year I have a operation to fix a heart condition call WPW (is a syndrome of pre-excitation of the ventricles of the heart due to an accessory pathway known as the bundle of Kent)

Ok so snice Monday I have feeling heart pain:
discomrt in my chest I acutally feeling my heart in pain (from scale of one to ten ten being most serve I would say a 6)
last night it was strange my jaw statred to work and at time my arm,

I know I should go see the doc but heres the question what does it really sound to you? Should I do see the doc or to the
E.R

I am confues whats going on.. I m real scrae! What should I do???????????????????????????????

Don't waste any time wondering what you should do. The minute that you are concerned with any symptoms that you are having, go to your doctor!

Your doctor should tell you what to do and help you out, and if he/she can't offer any help/information that can solve your problem, go to another doctor (particularly one specializing in cardiology) for help, and keep doing so until you get the problem solved!

This is your life here, you don't want to sit around while there may be a potential problem. If there isn't, you still don't want it to be on your conscience. It doesn't hurt to check.  (+ info)

Call your heart doctor and tell them what you just wrote, Since they know what procedure they did, ablation or what. (its called a bundle of His) WPW is not a easy disease so no one on here is going to know how to treat you. Even your doctors partner would be hesitant to change your plan of care without your regular doctors consent if you were seen by them instead of your regular doctor for some reason. IF they don't fit you in today then go to the E.R. they will be able to get him to see you there.  (+ info)

whats wrong with my heart?

hey, im 14 years old,
im a female..
i have a heart condition wpw with svt, which means pre-excitation of the ventricles however i had an ablation to get rid of that, but my svt (which means by heart can go up to 400 bpm) has come back, they said i may have a short circuit in my heart or another heart condition has developed where my pathway was removed..
so im gonna have another ablation soon..
they have put me on some heart medicine which i have been on for about 3 weeks, and this morning i have woken up with a sensation of butterflies (you know the ones you get when your excited) in my heart, with about 3 chest pains,
i think im going to go for a ecg test at my local, but i would like to be refered to great ormond street hospital who done my operation before as i feel more comfortable there, do you think my local will refer me there?
please help,
also what do you think is wrong?
thank you x

Hi, can you re-edit and tell me which medication you are taking? If Great Ormond street did your operation before, there is a high chance you will be referred there again.

To answer your question, Supra-ventricular means originating above the ventricles, tachycardia means fast atrial heartbeats If the electrical impulses reenter the atria via a bypass tract, this is known as Wolf-Parkinson-White syndrome.

WPW is a common cause of SVT. With WPW there is an abnormal electrical connection between the atria and ventricles and this extra tissue is a short circuit between these chambers. It provides an extra pathway for electrical impulses to be conducted through the tissue that normally blocks electrical impulses between the atria and ventricles.

Ablation is best treatment for your type of SVT. As you know, they will insert a small catheter ino the large vein in your leg which is passed into the chambers of your heart. The tip of the catheter is used to destroy the section of heart tissue that is triggering the abnormal electrical impulses.

The recurrence rate is about 4%. They will do the same procedure as before which should sort the problem out.  (+ info)
