How long does a homemade sugar scrub last?
I am wanting to make a sugar scrub but I am unsure of the shelf life of it after it's done. The recipie is basically an oil and sugar with essential or fragrance oils. I'm going to make it in small batches but I'd like to know how long it will last if it isn't used right away. Any suggestions anyone?

i make a couple of cups at a time and i never had it go bad. I think the longest i ever had it was about a month, but i use it everyday so it doesn't last very long. (

the scrub does nothing.. no joke. i used it and did exactly what it said, and still, same blackheads!! it was so frustrating.. not gonna lie, don't waste your money!! and if you find an good blackhead or pimple clearing cleanser or scrub, you should tell me asap!! sorry for the bad news though : (

What is the difference between facial foam and facial scrub?
I mean, the difference in their usage, effectiveness, and so on. Yesterday I went to Guardian. It was my first time buying facial products. The salesgirl told me that I should be using facial scrub since I am a first time user. But I mistakenly bought the facial foam. This morning I tried the facial foam eventhough the salesgirl told me that first timers should use facial scrub. Should I worry? Or, should I follow her advice? Hey, salicylic acid generally helps to exfoliate within the pore to stop them getting clogged (resulting in black heads and white heads) and if they don't get clogged in the first place then bacteria is less likely to cause them to get inflamed resulting in pimples. But its more effective in a lotion that stays on your skin rather than a scrub that you wash off. What is also really good for pimples (rather than blackheads) is a topical lotion containing Benzoyl peroxide. I use Veet Hair Removal Cream.It is a cream which you apply before you get in the shower with your hands, or they supply a thing to scrape it on. I think it removes about 90% of the hair, but the hair left over looks like isn't there. It last for about 1-2 weeks, but the hair actually grows back softer and smoother. Hope this helps!

The best face scrub hands down is white sugar and extra virgin olive oil mixed together. It makes your face really smooth and glowing. Extra virgin olive oil also works good as a moisturizer. It doesn't break me out either, surprisingly. (

Homemade Exfoliating Body Scrub
Easy, gentle and effective! You probably have all these ingredients in your pantry already!
2 tablespoons oatmeal
2 tablespoons cornmeal
2 tablespoons wheat germ
To use: combine a teaspoon or two with a mixture of water and/or cleanser to make a paste.
Massage gently into skin and rinse well.
1 lemon, grated
1 pomegranate, peel (you need the inner and whitish part)
1/2 teaspoon sea sand
1 very ripe avocado, pulp of
Dry the pomegranate peel for 2 days.
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together.
Blend this mixture with the pulp of a very ripe avocado so that the whole mixture gets a good consistency.
Gently apply this concoction on your body.
Rinse abundantly with cool water.
Apply your body cream.
Enjoy! (
