during puberty can urinary incontinence happen as a symptom?

i am a male going throught puberty and am just wondering.
----------

I've never heard of anyone having that problem just from going through puberty.

If it's a guy having that problem, they should have their prostrate checked right away, because it can be a symptom of prostate cancer or some other serious condition, it happened to one of my friends who was only 16.  (+ info)

If you're a woman, then have about 12 babies and don't do your pelvic floor exercises when the midwife tells you to.

If you're a bloke, just get blind drunk and imagine you're wearing a nappy.

Or,

Wait until you're very old and infirm.  (+ info)

Can Urinary Incontinence be related to a Back problem?

I'm completely incontinent and have been to a gynecologist and a urologist. Neither could find a problem that could cause this. I have Scoliosis and degenerative disc disease and go to a pain management center for chronic pain treatment. Could these conditions be related?
----------

It certainly can. I find it hard to believe that the urologist and gynecologist didn't consider it, assuming they knew. Degenerating discs can bulge and put pressure on the nerves that control bladder and bowel functions. See a neurologist or a neurosurgeon to explore the possibility and to talk about treatment options. Good luck.  (+ info)
