What brain and body diseases have been cured due to animal testing?

I'm totally against animal testing but I'm doing this project and I have to take an unbiased view... but no one seems to want to tell me how certain diseases have been cured. Do you know any diseases (brain and body) that have been cured due to animal testing? Please provide sources so I can check it out myself.
In 1937 the US government required that all drugs to be used by humans must be tested on animals first. other countries soon followed suit. So the simple answer is any disease that has been cured since 1937. In other words, can animal products like red meat, poultry, fish, eggs, cheese, or milk cause (or negatively effect the risk thereof) heart disease, stroke, cancers or osteoporosis, or even obesity?

For the people who disagree completely with animal testing. Would you still be against animal testing if someone you loved could die because of lack of research?
I'm against, we're inflicting pain on living things just because we have pain ourselves. I think that if the drugs are supposed to be for us, then they should be tested on us, not other animals.
Also I think that there are some illnesses in the world that mankind cannot make a cure for, it's fighting for a lost cause. Lastly, in the end we all die anyway, so why make other creatures suffer alongside?  (+ info)

Why do animal products make auto-immune diseases worse?

My Aunt was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and her rheumatologist suggested trying a vegan diet. I also met a woman who went vegan after she was diagnosed with Lupus. What is there in animal foods that causes auto-immune disease flare-ups?
Interesting. Dairy products increase mucus production which is why doctors may advise people to avoid dairy if they are ill. This is not propoganda, it's a fact that is stated in many of my academic nutrition books. My dad has been ill for a while now, his doctors have said dairy was making him worse so he has cut it out completely. Dairy was lowering his immunity, effectively damaging his health. (And none of the family thought dairy, of all things, would be the culprit!). My mum also has been told that she should be cutting down on her dairy intake because of her health problems.

I dunno what to think. LOL Do you think the earth is mad at us? Do you think it's some sort of plague for not believing in God? I mean seriously. Do you think it's poor farming conditions that started it? Or could it be all of those factors?
