How will I know when my ovarian cyst ruptures as far as symtpoms?
Ihave a 2cm ovarian cyst. Go back for a ultra sound in a few weeks to watch it. Its very painful and I am off work so I am wondering when I will know or what I will feel when it ruptures if at all.
----------
Pain. Intense pelvic pain. When one of mine ruptured, I couldn't even move. Luckily it only lasts for about 30 minutes depending on the cyst. You'll know!
It felt like everything in that general area seized. My vagina, cervix, uterus, ovaries and even my rectum. If you start feeling this, take some ibuprophen, sit and wait for the pain to subside. I had some nausea as well. My nurse told me she's had women who have had to pull off the highway because it was so intense. I don't want to scare you, but just prepare you.
Another thing - it's a good idea to inform your doctor after you think it's ruptured, they'll want to get you in for an ultrasound. (

What would the treatment be for mild esophageal dysmotility?
Had an uppper GI and the radiologist said no reflux, but I did have mild esophageal dysmotility.
I have no symptoms of either GERD or esophageal dysmotility (what would that be?) Upper GI showed no reflux, hiatal hernia or stricture.
----------
"Medical treatment of esophageal motility disorders involves the uses of agents that either reduce (anticholinergic agents, nitrates, calcium antagonists) or enhance (prokinetic agents) esophageal contractility. Despite the beneficial effect of the various drugs on esophageal motility parameters, the clinical benefit of medical treatment is often disappointing. "
Your esophagus is the inside of your throat and a 'dismotility' is a lack of a full range of motion.
I personaly would advise that you look into organic and natural foods as a basis for changing what you eat, then move on to various sugestions regarding the reduction of acid producing foods in your diet ( coffee, sugar, simple starches etc.). Good luck!! (

What was getting a vasectomy or removal of a sebaceous cyst like?
Im getting a cyst removed on my scrotum on monday. The procedure seems fairly similar to a vasectomy, they just make a small incision and remove the cyst and stitch it up. My problem is that I have a guitar lesson scheduled the same day. I was wondering if you think that I will be able to attend or should I cancel it?
----------
I had a vasectomy. I drove myself home, and sat on my butt for two days. That is all you will want to do. If you do much of anything else you will get an infection. (

Can a bartholins gland cyst prevent me from conceiving?
I've had a Bartholin's gland cyst on my libia majora since the birth of my first child 10years ago.I've been trying to concieve another child for about 8 months now and I'm not having any luck...Does anyone know if this Bartholins gland cyst can prevent conception from happening?
----------
Generally, issues with your Bartholin's gland (such as a cyst) will not preclude conception. I'd think your more likely issue would be pain during intercourse.

Has anyone aborted a pregnancy with the presence of an ovarian cyst? What are potential dangers?
My daughter has just been diagnosed with a complex cyst and she's, unfortunately, pregnant. Because of the impact that having a child with the wrong partner will have on her future, I hope her decision will be to abort the pregnancy. I'm seeking advice from anyone who might have had a similar situation (out of marriage) and aborted the pregnancy. Are there any serious risks to her wellbeing with this complex cyst being part of the equation?

What happens after an ovarian cyst ruptures?
I was diagnosed with a ruptured ovarian cyst 3 months ago. The symptoms prior to the rupture were pains in my lower right abdomen first in the middle of my cycle then at random times. One day I had really bad pains and an ultrasound revealed a ruptured cyst on my right ovary. My doctor prescribed some painkillers for the pain.
Since then the pain continues at mid cycle and a few days before my period. It seems to be increasing in intensity and duration, Is this normal?
----------
You could have another one. I had one removed a few months ago and it is back now and continues to grow. (

Does having a small benign cyst in my testicle affect me from getting a vasectomy?
I have had this cyst for 22 years. I am forty now. I have had it checked out numerous times and contine to do so during my physicals. It doesn't hurt so the doctor says to leave it alone. However I am looking into having a vasectomy and didn't know whether this cyst would affect it or not.
----------
A vasectomy is performed near the top of your sack, almost were it connects at the base of your scrotum. If the cyst is down low, then it probably will not matter.
However in this modern day of constant lawsuits, the doctor may ask that you get the cyst taken care of first because he, or she, may fear liability. (

What are restrictions of having an ovarian cyst?
I have an ovarian cyst that I had diagnosed two days ago, it is causing me slight pain, but not too bad. I am supposed to go out of town for a camping trip for the weekend and we'll be camping about 25 miles from the nearest town.
Is it wise to go, or do I need to be near a clinic until the cyst clears up? The cyst is 2.3 CM, and the doctor told me that it was leaking blood, probably because it was getting smaller.
----------
stay by the clinic or dont go.

What happens after you surgically remove a pilonidal cyst?
How much time are you unable to do your regular activities (work, school, etc.)? I think it is not a very dangerous or complicated procedure but I am still scared. I don't even know why I got this thing, but it is near my lower back, on my tailbone. I want to know what happens after you surgically remove this cyst? What are the risks? Is it dangerous? Will it come back?
----------
i was 16 when i had mine removed and was back to chool within 2 and a haf weeks, the main reason for that ws the need for it 2 be dressed daily by my nurse and of course some discomfort with sitting.
i was scared before i had mine but all went ok, nothing to worry about!!
wen its removed they fill the wound (its left open 2 heal inside out) with gauze which is changed daily and covered with a large mesh plaster.
no real risks, its a relatively common procedure as i was told, done 3/4 times a month by my surgeon.
can come back, depends on how prone you are to experiencing them but is uncommon for them to return if area is kept clean and excuse this but relatively hair free as ingrown hairs are the main cause!!
hope this helps and really theres no need to woory, coming from a now 17yo girl! chekc out www.pilondial.org, that should help (
