a doctor recently gave me a possible diagnosis of Stevens Johnson syndrome?

I have subsequently stopped taking Duloxetine for 4 weeks now , yet persistant symptoms skin lesions started that looked like larva migrans, then turned vericula and some very painful with creeping feeling under my skin and also stomach cramps dihorrea, also low hb and iron , previously had to have a transfusion, had a gastroscopy but no colonoscopy, stool samples have returned normal results.

I'm afraid I don't know a whole lot about your condition, but it sounds serious and it is sad to hear esp. at this time of year. Happy Holidays!!! If possible that is.  (+ info)

Is the visceral fat the last of the fat to leave from the body?

When it comes to visceral fat (fat in the abdomen), it is the fat that is the easiest to lose. The best and only sure way to get rid of this fat is through exercise. Although no one can be sure, visceral fat may be the easiest to lose because it is the worst fat you can have on your body due to its location around your vital organs.  (+ info)

I sqeezed what appeared to be a pimple on my scrotum sack and out came some type of larva?

Recently I rented a room from this nice old farmer (Farmer John). It's actually a loft located in a barn right above where Farmer John keeps cattle and horses. Recently one of his cattle died right below my loft while farmer John was on vacation. Me being a city boy and not knowing what to do I just left the carcus there reckoning farmer John would be back from Florida in a week to bury it. Well, within a few days that thing started to smell bad. Make a long story short, recently I've been getting these bumps on my scrotum sack and iner walls of my upper thighs near my scrotums. They itch badly and no matter how much I shower I still smell down there. So I decided to pop away at these bumbs and low and behold out shot this white puss, so I squeezed some more and out come's this maggot larva. Wriggling around on my nut sacks, when I showed my gal this she couldn't stop throwing up. Now she wont return my calls, I dont know why? Should I see a Dr, or wait to show Farmer John and ask him?

Why is edible seaweed from South Wales called larva bread?

Why do English people take every opportunity to insult Welshness or any Welsh- Is it stupidy, fear or just plain old insecurity about their own lack of national identity- discuss

Laverbread is the cooked mash of Porphyra, a variety of north Atlantic seaweed similar to that eaten as nori in Japan. In this form it is used (with lemon) as a sauce for mutton, and also mixed with oats into an oatcake called laverbread cake, eaten fried with bacon. Older cookbooks describe laverbread as a tempura-like preparation of laver, made with oatmeal batter. It seems that the presence of "bread" in "laverbread" has caused misidentification with the oatcake; based on the publications of Welsh seafood purveyors laverbread seems, however, to be the name of the cooked laver itself.

Although laverbread cakes are now associated with Wales, they are a relic of vastly more ancient Celtic cuisine.

hope that helps. i quite like it. very good for you. i love nori too. ignore the ignorant people on here, they cant help it.  (+ info)

Help, Cat has puncture wounds that now have larva coming out of them?

Gross, I know. My mom has a 3 month old kitten that had puncture wounds on her when we got back from vacation. We assumed that another cat or another animal got ahold of her and that's why she got these wounds. After a week of doctoring them. My mom noticed they were extremely swollen and she figured there was puss in them, so she tried to push the puss out of them to get them to heal up, but a larva of some sort of bug popped out. It wasn't maggots, but bigger and only one per each puncture wound. Anyone know what this comes from?

These puncture wounds are not puncture wounds, rather they are the skin infestation of bot fly larvae. Bot flys usually infect the skin of rabbits, squirrels, mice, etc.. but can on occassion infect dogs and cats. The bot fly is a large bee-like fly that does not sting or bite. The female bot fly lays her eggs on stones or vegetation and other animals become infested when they brush against the eggs. The eggs attach to the fur and then hatch in response to the body heat from this host. The larvae migrate to subcutaneous locations (under the skin) and develop and breath through a breathing pore (what may appear to be a head of a pimple almost). They emerge from the skin after approximately 30 days. This bot fly larvae infestation can often be mistaken for an abscess caused by a pucture wound. The best treatment is to take the animal to a vet and have the larvae surgically removed. Squeezing the lesion should NOT be done as it can rupture the larvae and lead to infection and even anaphylaxis shock. Your cat should be examined by a vet and any remaining lumps should be cleaned and examined to ensure no remaining pieces of larvae left in each lesion. The vet may start her on an antibiotic as a profilactic measure to prevent any infection from these lesions and the home removal method. She should be fine though after treatment! Let us know how she does!  (+ info)

can fly larva live inside of you?

my friend at pasta with larva in it. Now she's worried about them living inside her. Thank You for any advice given.the larva was alive or should i say lavas. :0 eew it's really gross!

No. Fly larva are completely different from internal larva (tapeworms, etc..). The acid in the stomach will kill them if they are alive when consumed.

Also, fly larva (maggots) don't live on just dead animals. Maggots eat necrotic (dying/dead) tissue. And maggots are sometimes used in the medical filed to help clean wounds (eating the dead tissue so new tissue can grow)  (+ info)

Whats the fastest way to lose visceral fat.?

bulldog_woodson you did not answer the question but thanks anyway.
Thanks TypellB

There is no way to lose fat quickly, and safely. Any form of fat loss that exceeds more than 2 pounds per week, will result in a lose of lean body mass (muscle). Fat loss in the form of exercise leads to mostly subcutaneous fat loss, and a change in diet leads to the loss of visceral fat.  (+ info)
