What are the chances of having complications this pregnancy?

With my first 2 pregnancies I had low amniotic fluid and my babies didnt grow well.I was just wondering how likely it is for that to happen with this pregnancy? And does it have anything to do with endometriosis,which I have? Every Doctor has told me endo has nothing to do with it.They also told me "low fluid" wouldnt happen with my 2nd one either and it did.

I have a five week pregnant, and all complications started at the end of week four. I vomit morning, daytime and evening. I dont like to eat any food or take any drink and I hate any kind kitchen smells.
Yep, this is not a complication. This is a pregnancy. Stomach upset is normal.

Try eating saltine crackers, salad crackers, potato chips, tortilla chips, ginger snaps, dry toast, or baked potato. Try drinking ginger ale, 7up, or water. It should pass in about 3 months!  (+ info)

Has anyone smoked during pregnancy and had complications?
not pregnet just curious, i've not ever smked in preg.,however I had substantional wt gain after quitting, that made pregnancy esp. difficult having a small frame petite.
I haven't smoked since I started TTC.

I used to smoke Marlboro Lights, though, and they seem to have different warnings on different boxes. Some I would buy had the part about smoking, others would say that quitting smoking now reduces risks of long-term complications, etc. I think they have a few different warnings that they change around from box to box.  (+ info)

I just found out with a home pregnancy test Im pregnant with my 3rd child. Im waiting for my first appointment with the dr that should come in the next couple of weeks. I developed gestionational diabetes with my last child and will do all I can to avoid that this time. Any suggestions for avoiding that?
Start with good habits, eat healthy and keep active. Don't fully give in to cravings. You can have that chocolate bar, but get the single size ones, and not the full size. Good luck though. Your doctor might have some suggestions also.  (+ info)

I had a C-Section with my first daughter. Now I was wondering, if you have one a first time can it give you complications getting pregnant or during pregnancy on your second child? If so, why?
Not sure about actual complications. I was watching a baby story on the tlc channel and the doctors were saying that with each c-section there is more and more scar tissue to cut through. That seemed to cause concern for them.  (+ info)

Hello, I am writing a fictional story, and one of the characters is pregnant.

I need something for the plot that involves the pregnancy, so I was thinking of having to make the pregnant woman be hospitalized briefly for a complication or something.

But I want it to be as realistic as possible, so what could I possibly use for my story? Precclampsia, diabetes, what else is there to use???

Preterm labor, vaginal bleeding of unknown origin, premature rupture of membranes. If you want a short hospital stay that doesn't end in her delivering the baby just yet you could have the woman go to her doctor for decreased fetal movement. They would admit her to the hospital for a non-stress test and IV hydration and then send her home either that day or the next day if everything checks out. They would keep her over night for preterm labor until there have been no contractions without the aid of medications to stop them for at least 24 hours. If her water breaks most doctors would keep the mother indefinitely until she delivers the baby.  (+ info)

I recently quit my job because of a high risk pregnancy and illness. My doctor is willing to write a letter to verify, but I was wondering what kind of options I have (unemployment, disability....etc.) Thanks for the help.
I didn't just up and quit. I gave my two weeks notice and became very ill. I began to recover and they told me not to bother coming in for my last few shifts.

I am 32 yrs old and 23 weeks preggo I am having the hardest time tryingto stop smoking. This is my 3rd pregnancy. I completely stopped with my first one and my second preg. was twins and I smoked a few( DUE TO STRESS) with no complications and now 10 yrs later Im having my fourth baby .
My Dr. told me not to quit. Quitting causes stress and will harm the
baby. So I cut back to 5-7 a day. The result. 3 pregnancies, 3 big
and healthy babies. Between 8.11 lbs and 7.9 lbs. All because I listened to my Dr. His advice benefited my children.  (+ info)

Also I've developed Lupus like symptoms (joint pain, photosensitivity, pos ANA, Nephritis, mouth sores)
Can this be caused by a molar pregnancy ot metotrexate?
The Lupus type symptoms could be coming from the Methotrexate, but I would recommend getting in touch with your rheumatologist as well to see what they say, and also I would recommend checking with your pharmacist and OB/GYN to see what they say about the potential for infertility with this medication.  (+ info)
