What is causing my chronic chest pain?

I am a 32 year old healthy female. I have had ongoing chest pain since January. It all started on Christmas Day with a visit to the ER because the pain was so heavy in the centre of my chest and I felt dizzy and out of it. Ever since the pain has changed into a sharp shooting pain that starts right in the centre and shoots toward the left shoulder/arm pit area. Sometimes the pain is just always dull and achy in that same area. I wake up with the pain. It sometimes goes away for 2-3 days and then resurfaces. The pain aches through to my left shoulder blade. Sometimes I get a rushing feeling in my left chest under my breast. I also have a pain that comes and goes on the right side, it is directly tied to breathing and movement unlike the left side pain.

Here is the kicker...I have had a ton of testing done and feel like I have explored as many options as possible. These include;

- ECG, EKG, echocardiogram, nuclear stress test (result- Right Bundle Branch Block which shouldn't cause any pain)
- thyroid ultrasound (result- small nodule on left side that is barely visible and not of concern, thyroid hormone levels are within normal range)
-abdominal ultrasound, upper GI, h. pylori test, endoscopy (results - all normal)
-lung xrays (results-normal)
- CT scan of head (result-fluid in sinuses)
-sigmoidoscopy (result - ulcerative proctitis diagnosed over 7 years ago and under control)
-food sensitivities test (result- severe and moderate intolerances to a number of foods, on special detox diet to remove these items, detoxing for approx. 2 weeks to date)
-blood work galore (results- all normal)

I have noticed other symptoms which may or may not be related. They include; fatigue, shakiness/tremors in arms and legs, lower back pain, pain in right calf and knee, irregular and frequent periods, tender breasts all the time, frequent sinus problems.

If anyone can shed any light on what they think could be causing the pain or what else I could have checked. I am tired of being told it is anxiety as I feel very strongly that the only anxiety I have has been caused by this pain.

Thanks and sorry to be so lengthy!

Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis question?

For the past 5 years I've been dealing with horrible symptoms that are like both crohn's and ulcerative colitis. My family doctor was a bad doctor to say the least and always said stomach ulcer take some prilosec. So after about ten hospital visits because i was bleeding out of my but a lot and always sick i was referred to a good g.i doctor. So about a week ago I went to him and got a endoscopy that came back pretty normal aside from a hiatal hernia. Then on monday i went in for a colonoscopy that came back not so well I had three pretty severe rectal ulcer's and a really irritated bumpy ileum. Now the ulcer's would suggest ulcerative proctitis, but with that the ileum is never effected that's usually a symptom of crohn's disease., and I have have horrible lower right pain. But I was under the impression that people Crohn's disease usually didn't have ulcers. My moms friend who has crohn's suggested it could be both. So can anyone shed some light on my situation. I'm freaking out wondering what the diagnosis is going to be.

Colon cancer at your age is a very remote possibility. I won't say it's impossible, but it's veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery unlikely. Your diet is probably to blame. If you're worried, see a doctor. But I think you're overreacting here.  (+ info)

i get a lot of bleeding and a lot of pain in my left side and rectal areas going up to my lower back. my first gi doctor found proctitis low done and six weeks after he did a colonoscopy he did a sigmoidoscopy and told me everything looks better but i told him i still had pain and bleeding after a year of calling to tell him that i had a lot of pain he would blow me off.well last week i just went to see him and he failed to realize that i had colitis higher up in my colon from a ct scan from 6-2008 as well thats why the sigmoid showed it looked like that part was getting better. what is the out come of having colitis in two parts of your colon? i have been on asacol for over a year. thanks

Got treated for chlamydia 4 times, still testing positive. HELP?

I was 1st diagnosed with chlamydia in 2007, i got treated but made an unintelligent decision and slept with my then gf before she got treated and contracted it again. I once again went and got treatment and symptoms went away. A year later, i got a new gf and got chlamydia again. I got treated but this time the symptoms stayed. NOW PAY CLOSE ATTENTION. I broke up with that girl and went to approximately 4 different health departments over the course of 2 years and got treated 4 different times, all the while the symptoms have not went away. NO I HAVE NOT HAD SEX WITH ANYBODY, AND YES I TOOK THE FULL DOSE OF ANTIBIOTICS AS DESCRIBED. What can i do at this point? I fear that i have developed Epididymitis, Proctitis, and skin break down around my penis due to having the chlamydia for so long. I have taken everything from Zithromax pills, to the powdered form of Azithromycin, to the 10 day course of Doxycycline. If there is a type specialist doctor i could go see, than if you could tell me the name of this type of specialist would be great. Please don’t answer if you’re going to have a smart ass comment or worthless Wikipedia information. I am in daily pain a lot and the health departments are saying they can’t help me at this point. Please give me some useful info thanks.
I've done both the urine test and the test when they swab for discharge from inside the head of the penis. Also they have collected blood all 4 times.

Hi well I hope u have been referred to a Urologist who will look into why Epididymitis Proctitis keeps occurring I have nursed guys with similar amongst other issues and treatment was IV doses twice daily of Ceftriaxone because u have got to realise it takes some time to get on top of this ,but a Urologist Specialist will advise u better ,Hope this has given u some assistance Good Luck ♥  (+ info)

Massive Constipation with IBS and IBD?

I have IBS and IBD (proctitis -constipation with 2-3 healthy bowel movements (BM) a week). I have not had a regular bowel moment in 4 months. I eat a high fiber diet, no caffine only water. I recently went almost 2 weeks without a BM. I took 2 Xstrength EXlax, metamucil, 2 enemas and one bottle of Fleet and nothing came out. I had xrays and it showed that I have massive constipation. I am seeing a specialist next month.

I have been on a 3 month colon cleansing system for two weeks, taking 3 240mg stool softeners per day and still nothing. I have developed lower back pain and find it hard to stand straight or lay flat. I am always hungry and no matter how much sleep I get I am always tired. I have a 4-5 gumball pellets BM every couple of days - I think there is no room for the food I eat so some has to come out. Also have rectal bleeding - no hemmoroids. I have lost a couple of pounds. Bad stomach cramps.

Any suggestions on what may be wrong or what I can do?

Can't you get into a Doc sooner? You've been way to blocked up for way to long. I would focus on getting seen ASAP. Good luck to you..  (+ info)

Is this rectal prolapse?

http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/4250/mvc048sdv3.jpg

Please...take a look at the link above. Is that rectal prolapse 100%? If not what could it be?

I'm a 30 year old male with a history of mild proctitis...I had the cramps and diahreah under very good control for the last several months by dietary changes alone....Normal stools, hardly ever had cramps anymore. Colonoscopy 6 months ago normal except that.

I started having pain between my testicles and anal opening one day, and when I went to the bathroom, my insides came out instead of stool. It's never happened before, and my stool form has been 100% normal up until the day before, now it's small and numerous stool. I find it hard to pass gas now, and I'm wondering if tomorrow I'll be able to have a BM at all

Why would this start suddenly?
----------

I'm not a doctor, but i'm also not an idiot.
GET YOURSELF TO THE HOSPITAL ...NOW!

That looks like a rectal prolapse and you will need surgery to correct it. Go to the emergency department before you get an infection or the prolapse becomes even more extreme.

I don't understand why someone would post a picture of their own anus on the internet and ask a q before seeing a doctor....  (+ info)

Rectal prolapse or something else? (pic)?

*Graphic pic alert*
http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/4250/mvc048sdv3.jpg

Is that rectal prolapse or something else? I have a history of mild proctitis, but it's been under very good symptomatic control in the last few months, and suddenly I started having pain between my legs and bladder area, then when i went to use the bathroom, this came out instead of stools (never has happened before).

is it rectal prolapse or something else entirely? I'm going to the doctor in 5 days, but was wondering in the meantime if there's a doc or med student or someone else in the know browsing by?
oh and it does go back in when im not straining... but, it always feels like i have to poop now...this started suddenly
----------

it certainly could be a prolapse.

That's just colon symptoms from a neurological disorder, such as Borderline Personality Disorder, Social Phobia and anxiety, or Fibromyalgia, Tension Myositis Syndrome. Proper diagnosis is Irritable Bowel Syndrome, IBS, and heading toards an IBD, Inflammatory Bowel Disorder/Disease. You don't want Ileitis or colitis, and certainly not Crohn's. Relax, eat fruit and fibre, pro-biotics, and exercise.  (+ info)
