Does the crust of Bread contain A) Less Gluten and/or B) Less ' fat content' than the soft inner part of bread

Many people rip out the inside of a loaf of pannini. When I asked someone WHY they did it, this was the reason given. Personally, i think bread is bread whether it is baked crisp or its the soft inside. And removing the inside part only lowers total calories of THAT piece of bread because you are eating less... nothing more. Am I right or wrong?
----------

The crust forms from the heat of baking. It does not have less gluten or fat. The only way it might have more fat is if the bread was brushed with butter after baking (this is a common bread baking technique).  (+ info)

my mother had soft tissue sarcoma?

My mother had passed away of this cancer, should I be getting checked for this? I am 21, is it likely to be passed to me?
----------

Jessica - I am sorry for the loss of your mother. Soft tissue sarcomas are rare. There is little likelihood of you getting such a tumor. The only known genetic conditions associated are rare. Certain inherited diseases are associated with an increased risk of developing soft tissue sarcomas. Studies have focused on genetic changes that may lead to the development of soft tissue sarcomas. For example, people with Li-Fraumeni syndrome (associated with alterations in the p53 tumor suppressor gene), von Recklinghausen disease (also called neurofibromatosis type 1 and associated with alterations in the NF1 gene), hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell cancer syndrome (with alterations in the FH gene), and hereditary retinoblastoma (with alterations in the RB1 gene) are at increased risk of developing soft tissue sarcomas. These are all rare.  (+ info)

What part of the foot do high heels hurt the most?

I've bought a pair of high-heeled sandals to wear to a wedding. It's 3 inches high, has thin straps, and a heel that's thin but not quite stiletto.

This might sound weird to some of you, but I've never worn high heels before (parent's wouldn't let me, and there's not much chance for that stuff if you go to a school with uniforms).

To make my feet more comfortable, I've bought some of those Scholl's soft pad thingies that I can stick on the shoe. Which part of the sandal should I stick them on: the part where I rest the balls of my feet or where I rest my heels?

In other words, will my heels or the balls of my feet hurt more after I'm in the heels for 2 hours? Thanks for telling!
----------

Whoa, you need to practice before you spend the night barefoot or crying.

The ball of my foot is the part which aches the most after a night at the club. The next morning they still hurt, when I get out of bed. The first few steps...think of me!!

I am so excited for you to be experiencing this pain for the first time! You'll will know what it feels like to be a woman. lol

Good luck, Hun!  (+ info)

How to make my hair healthy and soft?

I basically have good hair with natural colour, and though I have hair fall it looks thick. Its very soft till half but rough at the second half. May be because the second half part is wavy.Y does it happen? Plz help!!! And I am planning to get my hair straighned!
And only home remedies please..
----------

Soak 7-9 soapnuts in hot water overnight.
The next morning squeeze those soapnuts and discard only the soapnuts.
Oil your hair with Dabur Vatika Enriched Almond hair oil 1 hour before shampooing.
Wash your hair with the liquid soapnut solution.
Use Vatika Smooth & Silky Conditioner.
Use it only on the hair not on the scalp.
Leave the conditioner for 5 minutes.
Wash the conditioner(but do not wash off the entire conditioner).
Let your hair dry naturally.
Keep oiling your hair with Dabur Vatika Enriched Coconut Hair oil.
Don't get hair straightening.
It will cause aggressive hair fall.  (+ info)

How to cook a corndog without it going soft?

When i cook a corndog, it comes out soft. How can i cook it so that the breaded part comes out more crispy. It is one of the frozen ones you get in a box.
----------

Bake it. That helps turn it 1/2 way thru. You could even put it in broil for a few min.

Or bake and then place in a dry skillet just to crisp it up.

Or deep fry them.  (+ info)

how to make ooy gooy soft cinnamon rolls?

I am looking for the best ever recipe and directions on how to make super soft gooey cinnamon rolls. Mine always come out kind of dry and the bread part is never very soft. Also with kneading the dough, should I be barely kneading it, or kneading for like 10 minutes?? Please help me if you can.
----------

I promise, these are the best Ive ever tried
Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
4 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans, divided
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup melted butter

DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, dissolve 1 teaspoon sugar and yeast in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes. Warm the milk in a small saucepan until it bubbles, then remove from heat. Mix in 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup butter and salt; stir until melted. Let cool until lukewarm.
In a large bowl, combine the yeast mixture, milk mixture, eggs and 1 1/2 cup flour; stir well to combine. Stir in the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, beating well after each addition. When the dough has pulled together, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
Lightly oil a large bowl, place the dough in the bowl and turn to coat with oil. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 hour.
While dough is rising, melt 3/4 cup butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in 3/4 cup brown sugar, whisking until smooth. Pour into greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle bottom of pan with 1/2 cup pecans; set aside. Melt remaining butter; set aside. Combine remaining 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup pecans, and cinnamon; set aside.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, roll into an 18x14 inch rectangle. Brush with 2 tablespoons melted butter, leaving 1/2 inch border uncovered; sprinkle with brown sugar cinnamon mixture. Starting at long side, tightly roll up, pinching seam to seal. Brush with remaining 2 tablespoons butter. With serrated knife, cut into 15 pieces; place cut side down, in prepared pan. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in volume. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool in pan for 3 minutes, then invert onto serving platter. Scrape remaining filling from the pan onto the rolls.  (+ info)
